Non-Latency Flow Gate

DISCOVERED BY Aya042 Flow Gate: Using the enable input in a microchip as a digital enable for a signal By default there is a one tick latency when enabling/disabling a microchip, but there is a workaround The issue (as perceived by coolman100) is that there is an issue of relevance in the coding, so all you need to do is make the enabling relevant to the contents of the microchip Easiest way to achieve this is to make the enable input also an input to the microchip, that way there is forced relevance in the microchip, like so http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=48399&d=1404513830 Hope this fixes some peoples problems in timing logic ![]() | 2014-07-04 23:45:00 Author: amiel445566 ![]() Posts: 664 |
Yes, that is very useful. Here are other instant solutions in the same vein, only "disabling" instead of enabling. The left one in particular is equivalent to the one you posted, minus (or plus) a not gate. http://i5.lbp.me/img/ft/fa5c290dca2032375259c928defafc9037d2971f.jpg | 2014-07-05 02:11:00 Author: actio1_618 ![]() Posts: 81 |
Yes it would work like the left one, but with the new situation you could preserve multiple analogue signals with one disabling unit But yes there are certainly other ways to do this (I used and gates with absolute secondary inputs while set to multiply before) | 2014-07-05 03:05:00 Author: amiel445566 ![]() Posts: 664 |
Options: We have them. Thanks for sharing! | 2014-07-05 03:57:00 Author: actio1_618 ![]() Posts: 81 |
