| I played a burn out for ps2 a while ago it was pretty fun...this games actually cheap point wise for the compay i work for we have a point system they just incorporated on top of our normal comission for certain items we obtain points and we can buy anything really. and i have about 524 left and i think burnout is only like 170 so pretty cheap...not sure if i should get it | 2009-02-19 00:31:00 Author: Hamsalad  Posts: 2551 |

| Definately, I got it like four days ago. I recommended to Clank, which probably recommended it to Sonic. But yeah it has a lot of replay value. About 500 challenges to do with friends, and they vary from 2 player challenges, all the way up to 8 player challenges. You can create your own races with checkpoints and stuff, single player is fun, basically the same as multiplayer but you can unlock cars. There are freeburn ( free mode with friends basically ) mini games, such as... Road Rage ( Red team tries to stop Blue team from reaching the destination ) Marked Man ( One guy runs for a certain time limit, while the others try to wreck his car ) Stunt Something ( Whoever can score up the most points by doing stunts ) It's a very fun game and very worth it for only 20 dollars. | 2009-02-19 00:45:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino  Posts: 5250 |

| There is no splitscreen. Party Pack is hotseat play. But yeah, I have Burnout Paradise. Logged a couple hundred hours in it, actually. (Yay, only platinum trophy I actually have!) The problem with it is that it's really not a racing game, it's a driving game. A very, very good driving game, of course. But the core racing got dropped off somewhere along the way. Because...it's really not that good when you're just racing. It ends up that you just drive on the same straights over and over and over again to end up to the same place. There's a total of one checkpoint race, which could have been done better. Now, the open-world has great advantages to it. Marked Man really caters well towards it, even if the AI somewhat wastes the opportunity, and online it's pretty lackluster. Road Rage also works well, although it's often too easy to drive onto the highway and rack up smashes there. Stunt Run...is harder to place. Because you have to get good at it before you can get anything done, and that's rather difficult. Now, there's a lot of things you can do in the open world. Lots of fence smashes for shortcuts, finding jumps, crashing billboards... But the problem is that they're all very easy to do, so there's no satisfaction to it aside your innate desire for collection, and you don't actually get anything out of it. To top it off, the online mode is pretty unsatisfying unless you get a bunch of people who really know what they're doing and can work cohesively. But then someone who's lost joins and the thing falls apart. The driving model is excellent and intense. Oh God yeah, the first time I played it I had my PS Eye plugged in and I happened to be playing er... in the nip shall we say... not my best moment. Anyway yeah it's an amazing game, well worth buying and having it on my system without the hassle of putting in a disc is amazing. Although it does make me feel as if it's worth a little less. The online challenges are fantastic and the PS Eye pics are great fun. Some people do some great poses. I'm usually pretty boring and just sit there. | *facepalm* there are loads of free updates... all the way up to 1.7... that includes bikes, additonal online challenges, timed challenges, and online games. The ones that you see are not updates... that is add on content that you can purchase if you wish. (personally i only thought that they 88 Special was worth it, but i am definitely getting the Hawker Mech because the Hawker is my fav car... it is totally pimped out and if you are even on with me i will pull it out of my garage for you and i am DEFINITELY getting the island... been waiting for that for... about 3 quarters of a year *sigh*) Hope that cleared it up for you Cheers! EDIT: it also includes the billboard change (they got brighter) the smash gate change (the got brighter) and the super jump change (they got easier to see as well), also the handling changed a tad, changed up the airfield, and some other stuff i can not remember at the moment.
