Is the DLC that comes with LBP2 Extras Edition pre-installed on the disc or do you have to download the packs from the store? I only ask because my copy of LBP1 came with the Monsters, History and MGS packs pre-installed, which means I probably wouldn't be able to transfer them to a different console (i.e PS4 when LBP3 comes out). If I buy the extras edition on the PS Store, does it work like a season pass where all the DLC can then be downloaded for free? Because I already own a physical copy of LB2, I'm only buying it as it's cheaper than buying the packs separately but I won't get it if the packs don't save to your download list. Can anyone whose bought the digital extras bundle confirm this?

Why wouldn't you be able to transfer them? The same as you, I got the history kit, monster pack and all that with my lbp1 disc. That and all my other dlc is part of my LBP profile, which I back up to a flash drive. I'm hoping to use that to transfer everything when I get a ps4. Are you telling me that won't work?

I don't know about the Extras edition, but I know they had the same problem with the LBP1 Game of the Year edition you mentioned. IIRC they solved that in the LBP1 profile import, so they'll probably do the same for the LBP2 Extras edition.

The DLC you have purchased (whether downloaded or GOTY edition) is stored in a seperate file to your profile, in the game data utility section, where it can't be copied to a usb. The only way to transfer your purchases from the PS3 to the PS4 would be through the playstation store.
