I think it could be fun having a Material Changer object. You would stick it onto a piece of material you want to change. Then you set the Material to change into in the Tweak menu. After that, you attach a switch to the Material Changer object and when activated, the piece of material it's attached to changes material! Think of it as the Material Changer tool from Create mode, only in Play mode.

yeah.... it could make the player to choose how he will use that object in a specific situation........ depending on the material we could have different solutions.... good idea

Also, you should be able to turn a normal material into fire or electricity or gas.
