"Ciao"!

It's been awhile since I wanted to join this site. In fact, I visited LBP Central regularly in the past months. I liked to read some of the discussions, and I loved the "Creator Spotlight" episodes that brought me to play lots of your awesome levels!

I've been playing LBP since the first one in 2008. Well... Do you know those low-quality levels, that are often made with forms created without any sense, with weird creatures and are often really short? Well, I was one of the creators that made those type of levels. But now, I like to think that I've improved since that time. I created 9 levels in LBP1, three of them in 6 months if I remember correctly, given the hype for LBP2. In LBP2, I spent 2 years creating a massive level, and I finished it despite the PS3 going YLOD and losing a part of the data a year ago, more or less. If I compare this one with my first level, I realize how much I changed as a creator.

Well, of course, I'm not perfect. I think I'm very good with Logic and Game-Creating (I have a half-finished C&C Red Alert remake, the first thing I created with LBP2 editor, and an early-Worms project on my moon), but I'm not good with Platform mechanics, and I'm a disaster with aesthetics. Another reason for joining this site is to see if it's possible for me to become an even better creator.

Of course, the event that brought me to eventually register was LBP3 announcement. The hype is not comparable with LBP2's one, but I'm still excited and I'm looking forward for new information on the game. I also returned to play LBP2 after I don't know how much months. I have more than 100 levels unplayed in my queue!

I also own LBP Karting and LBP PSP. My attempts to create with these two were a bit problematic (I published a very simple track in Karting, to experiment with the editor, while in PSP I never managed to create something that satisfied me enough to publish it), but I still play them sometimes, and I must say that without LBP Central Spotlights it would have been very difficult to find the awesome levels I played within these two games.

Out of the LBP topic, I'm a general lover of all types of videogames. My favourite genres are Platform games and Strategic ones.

Trying to write in the best English I can handle, I hope it's enough good.

Seeing you in the forum!

English isn't your first language!?
I honestly wouldn't have noticed if you didn't state so at the end. Your English is really good.

Hey Puntolory! I honestly wouldn't have guessed that English wasn't your first language, but don't worry, we wouldn't have judged you either way! I can also say that I had the same experience as a creator! I've definitely improved, but I constantly criticize myself to the point that I can't publish anything that shows my abilities. Anyways, LBPC is a great way to improve the skills you have and hopefully we will get to see everything you create in the near future! See you around and Welcome to LBPC!!! 2014-06-21 18:17:00

Hello and welcome! I also lost a huge chunk of level design due to a YLOD. But I think that upon rebuilding it I got faster and more efficient.

Hope you find some good tips here for your design work
