Has littlebigplanet 3 brought you back?

Archive: 48 posts

The announcement for Littlebigplanet 3 gave me goosbumps and brought back so many memories of my years with LBP 1+2, and so I joined this site again and can't wait for LBP3!

So I got to thinking, if I come back after a year away, who else has?
So if you're like me please post a hello again or if you're one of the many devoted fans that never left, who would you like to re-appear for LBP3?

(My personal 2 are (Faith_RIP and DeftMute)

RTM, Doopz and Dayne Oram have all made returns. (I'm sure I'm missing people from that small list.)
I haven't been on LBPC in AGES! Probably a year and a bit of inactivity.
The announcement has me hyped and I started posting again.

Personally I never actually truly left LBP or the community... And I've started way back in early 2009. xD *mew2014-06-15 18:36:00

I'm back. Wanted to get into LBP Vita but did not like not having an HDMI output so never got into it. Can't wait for LBP3 to hold me over until a next gen LBP4.2014-06-15 18:53:00

Nah, that was just a nice bonus layer of frosting on the cake. I've been about on LBP, I've just been very quiet for personal reasons. But things have turned up lately and it's nice to be diving into the community again, especially with all this excitement now in the air! 2014-06-15 19:25:00

LBP3 motivates me to make those platformers I've always wanted to complete.

So in short, yeah, I'm back for more LBP.

LBP3 made me join this forum, so yeah. The announcment made me play LBP2 again. I used to play LBP2 and look at this forum for tutorials which I would forget later on and to read discussions from time to time. So yeah. 2014-06-16 21:54:00

I've never really left either!

I'm more of a lurker, though. Ghosting over the forums, endlessly adding levels to my queue. I'm quite happy some players have come back, though! I'll be getting more levels to add to my endless queue.

Oh absolutely, though probably not on the community side of things, not just yet anyway. Gonna plan on being a lot more active this time around once LBP3 releases, I had a ton of stuff that was actually pretty decent with LBP2, but never got around to releasing any of it.

Now I'm gonna look forward to more friends, more options, more creativity, more... everything really!

As someone who spent an unhealthy amount of time in both LBP1 and 2, but finally put it down last year, I am definitely back.

Can't wait to hang out and make cool stuff with you guys.

Yes it have, for sure.

I've been gone for around a year, but, straight after watching the E3 Stream, I went to my local GameStop and pre-ordered LBP3, then, when I got back home I hooked up my PS3 again and went straight into LBP2

I left because of the community going downlhill... and all main inspirational creators just left right out of nowhere... I'll hope to see at least just a few of them making their return, Like RikiRiki-Ita and Lockstitch...

But, I'm back into creating again, got around 4 levels yet to be released

I'm definitely interested in LBP3! Well, for PS4.

TBH, I haven't really tried creating much of anything since LBP because of two things: Personal issues and my PS3 freezing after a period of time. Hopefully, LBP3 would finally change things around for me.

Hello LittleBigPlanet community! I too have returned from the dark trenches where I have been hiding for a few years. Been experiencing all the other games out there, including GTAV, Last of Us, Battlefield 4, New Mario Bros WiiU, and of course, Mario Kart 8.

The announcement of LBP3 has got me very excited to jump back into the world of craft world and create all new levels for you guys again. I'm looking forward to the use of the share button for PS4. This is the perfect opportunity to make my own "create" live videos to help newbies create some cool levels, certainly looking forward to it! I certainly hope this new game will bring back some classic creators like my all-time favorite, Lockstitch, and Nuclearfish. Also, would love to see another big series by Alleycat, that guy was awesome and a very nice person if you've ever met him. Also, oddsock looks awesome!

I wouldn't say I'm back: I'm still not playing regularly and only poking my head in here and other sites occasionally, but come November I'll be back with a vengeance! Loving the custom-built powerups: guns, swords.....lightsabers? ;-) And I can only begin to imagine the kind of mech building that can be done with 16 layers2014-06-22 20:52:00

I've been lurking for a few months now, but haven't really said a word.

However, with the recent announcement of LBP3 I'll probably be much more active around here again :3

As I said in my *leaving* thread a couple months ago, I have kept my promise.

I'll be back. :kz:

I'm back too, I've always lurked but was really active (posting) back when LBP1 was big and shortly after LBP2 was released. I used to be -DR- on the forums but changed my name to match my PSN ID.

I was never really gone from LBP2. It's a game I'll always come back to... well at least until LBP3 is released. I've been trying to catch up on other games. I feel I've missed out on an entire generation of games because of the LBP series and a handful of other games. Several games I've wanted to play have had multiple sequels released, so I just don't play it nearly as much as I used to. Another reason is that with most of the stuff I make, I always run into a point where I'm thinking I wish I could do this or that either because the tools aren't quite there yet or my own inadequacies as a creator. The game's load times wear me down after a while too. New level packs like the DC pack always get me excited to play again because I don't have to look for levels and I know I'm guaranteed some fun so a new LBP will be like a new DLC pack x10.2014-06-25 06:08:00

I guess I never officially left but my activity has been low. Last thing I built was my F-86 back in September and finished in December. What really makes me dislike LBP2 is the community. Emos, thieves, and annoying people but LBP3 is definitely gonna get me back into the swing of things. Here comes my next plane! P-51D Mustang. I'm ready for LBP3 so I bought the pilot's Operating manual for this bird and i'm ready to go all out! I just hope there is an anti copy and better thermo management because I want a working Merlin Engine.2014-06-25 21:00:00

Depends...I still love to create and as long as I have ideas that inspire me, I will continue to create. But I don't feel as connected to this community as before. I've lost a lot of my regular friends who moved onto other things (life) and my personal issues along with just being who I am in general has pushed a lot of people away from me. I kinda felt I should move on because I've been playing like...since the LBP1 beta...but I keep coming back because I love it. It's one of the few good things in my life and has got me through a lot of hard times...My life has gotten a lot more stable though so maybe it'll be more of a pastime thing rather than a stress-relieving thing. I probably won't publish as much though, and really take my time with my levels. I tended to rush things a lot more because I was trying to balance so much in my life. But this time around I might have 3 or 4 really good, masterfully created levels as opposed to 10 average ones.

It's good LBP is gaining back a lot it's talented creators, though I'm certainly looking forward to newer talent.

*sigh*
I dont know, LBP is a weird game. I dont think I have spent as much time on any other game than I have this one. I agree with comishguy67 in this case because for some reason I have this large attachment to this game and this community. A lot of us grew up with this game. I even went back and just looked at the obnoxious messages I used to write and just laugh. A lots happened in my life and this is the one game I could come back too and just take my mind off of real life. Its one of the few games that allow me to express creativity so it never crossed the plain as childish and I dont think I will stop playing it anytime soon.

To answer the question, no but it did make me work a little faster on my project because I defiantly have a bunch I want to try in this one. A Beta invite would be great too.

Well, about me I've lost my LBP data some months back and was off due personal reasons. But I was more or less active since 2009. LBP 3 is another reason to still playing this amazing game series, I really love it and is one of the few thing to gave some light on my life. I want also complete my PS3 Collection because I have LBP1/2 and Karting. 2014-07-28 10:22:00

But thankfully LBP3 will revive my joy of creating, so prepare yourself for lots of new projects on LBP3 PS4. :hero:

I've never been a very active user, but I kind of just stopped browsing over the the forums, but I would never leave LBP alone, even after getting a PS4. However, the announcement of LBP 3 brought me back to the forums. Can't wait for 18th November!2014-07-31 17:25:00

It did somewhat bring me back to the forums. My PS3 laser stopped working when we moved and I wasn't able to play LittleBigPlanet 2. I was able to connect and play LBP PS Vita for a while, but then we moved again from the other house and the internet was not moved along with it. That explains why I haven't been able to access PSN for a while.

Then I saw an ad for "PS4 LittleBigPlanet 3" with three "random" characters that have nothing to do with LittleBigPlanet, along with Sackboy himself. I was like "That is fake!" when I looked at the characters. I ignored the Advertisment thinking it was fake. Then I accdently found LittleBigPlanet 3 when searching, and then found out Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop was actual characters in the game in a video. That is how I found about LittleBigPlanet 3.

Basicly that is all you need to know about what happened.

LBP3 had no effect on when I came back to the forums. I was actually gone for a 3 week camp (without internet :O) So when I came back, the forums alerted me of the announcement. Needless to say, I was a little late to the party.2014-08-01 01:43:00

LittleBigPlanet 3 brought me back after not playing LBP2 since last year . It's sad that I don't have a PS3 anymore, but at least this sequel's on the PS4. Finally a ps4 game I was waiting for, I've only been using my ps4 for Netflix lol2014-08-01 05:07:00
