Would like to start this thread as a possible 'sticky' and invite all experienced creators to post, in the simplest fashion possible, helpful hints to newbies to LBPK. This means specifically explaining exactly what each bit of logic is doing etc.The idea being to ensure budding creators stick with LBPK and ultimately give the community what they want, fantastic tracks! Giving levels away as copyable is admirable but doesn't explain why certain things work the way they do. All creators know the LBPK tutorials within the game are woeful, so let's help the LBPK community to build. The result can only mean better levels for everyone!

Having the lbpcentral wiki back would be nice and useful to newbies and veterans alike. It was the only one with a Karting section worth anything, but now it seems to be stuck in some sort of purgatory.

Light is very important in a level, so here is an easy use of timer and toggle to switch the light on and off. http://i39.servimg.com/u/f39/18/28/08/47/dsc_0019.jpg What's also good, which I found out by accident, is on certain lights(including 'magic' ones) the timer can be used to fade them in (or out) during the level using exactly the same set up as gipsy's picture above but without the toggle switch

Have to admit I hadn't been through all the superb tutorials on here and have suddenly found a batch of incredibly helpful video tutorials, specifically aimed at beginners! These will take you through from your first track to advanced logic, submitted by TheAdipose. Go. Check them out. There's even the Elimination Logic I believe 'givingtheguid' used on his latest levels.

Hey, scorpio, it might be a good idea to link to all of them through the OP so they're easy to get to rather than sifting through the pages of tutorials for them. Then have that stickied would be even better.
