Just had an idea for an awesome game tie-in: Mirror's Edge Story You are a level runner. You deliver levels all around LittleBigCity. Lately the MMMF (Media Molecule Moderation Force) has been going crazy, banning levels left and right for even the slightest infraction. They have even arrested your sister, the level designer Kate. You will enact a tale of revenge, ending the oppression. Character Enhancement : Running Shoes These amazing shoes enable magic powers. You can run faster than any sackperson. You can wall jump (Hit R1 when hitting a wall to push off and jump high in the opposite direction), jump higher, grab on to ledges and pull yourself off, and even use L1 to duck under objects. Possible New Materials City Wall - Clean White City Wall - Clean Green City Wall - Clean Yellow City Wall - Clean Orange City Wall - Dirty White City Wall - Dirty Green etc. Clean Metal - Blue Clean Metal - Red Clean Metal - Green etc. Runner Vision Red Padding Red Padding White etc. Glass Windows Possible Special Objects Pole - Can swing on Fence - A stylish Barrier Elec. Fence - A stylish Barrier, Now Electric Bans - Plasma Style Weapon Ban Hammer - Deadly Hammer to Attach to Enimies Possible Outfits Runner Bag Runner Clothes ( Male (Merc) & Female (Faith) ) MMMF Outfits (Multiple Types) Etc. Level Ideas Skulldoser Style Running From Cops (Dodging Helicopter Fire, Performing Acrobatic Escapes, Running Over Roadblocks) Many acrobatic jumping levels (Using New Shoes) Final Infiltration of MM Tower NEW: Timer The timer would be a global option added. When turned on, anyone playing your level would see a timer in the top right corner, counting up. This would time how long they take to complete your level. The scoreboard would change to rank by time & you would be able to give out and receive bubbles & prizes based on meeting time criteria set by the creator. This could add a new element of challenge to the game (Imagine trying to beat the Collectors Lair in 2:00 ) NEW: Checkpoints These special checkpoint will act like objectives. You must go to all the checkpoints (Marked by a coloured beacon) in order before reaching the finish line in order to finish. nice ideas hehe but most of that you can already make so... get building and you might find yourself get spotlighted xD the running shoes is a great idea and wish they had that, but you can jump walls to walls and duck under stuff but you duck automatically . the poles you just make a sponge material to be grabbable attached to a wall with a bolt - regular bolt, which allows you to swing on it. the materials you can just sticker the objects to make it how you want it. the fences and elec fences are both easy to make aswell. a thin layer of metal , not sure name of type but it has lots of little holes in it. and to make it a elec. fence just shock it up xD the bag is a nice idea and the other stuff for costume you could make using some of the DLC and some of the original objects. for faiths skin tatoos you can just sticker it up there again xD and many people have already made faith look-a-likes e.g. Steve-big-guns(## - not sure which number i think its 27) banhammer and ban gun thing you could generally use a paintanator ofr the gun and the hammer you could have a sponge hammer with a mag. key and a jetpack enhancement attached to it but the jetpack can only reach a few cm/m/block/yard - whatever the measurement scale would be - so that you have to fly close to it, and when you want it to kill you make a mag switch ,same colour as the key, and when that hits enemies *boom* enemy dead, but when you want the banhammer to stop being in use you make it be used as a key to open a door but the "key" would have to be several measurements from the door so that if you try to take the "key" with you, you wont have enough time to get through. sadly i didnt get time to play this game through so im not sure about some of the stuff like the runners vision. if you plan to make this level please let me know i would love to help you out in anyway i can because this sounds better than the real mirrors edge. anyway hope some of this helps. im off to sleep xD its 2:35am... | 2009-02-17 02:23:00 Author: Zommy Posts: 1232 |

ah, that's an amazing idea. Perfect for implementing the running shoes character enhancements. I want the runner bag costume good ideas my friend... But copyright... bleh... But you never know this would be more possible if they stopped spending their copyright money on all of these costumes. I'm not sure about Merc, would probably be pretty boring. I would pay the same amount the last pack was, as long as it has the running shoes to put in my levels. The checkpoint idea i could already do...i'll explain. Make 5 or so checkpoints each with a sensor switch the exact size of the checkpoint, attach each sensor switch to a permanant switch and attatch each peramant switch (lol complicated) to to a row of 5 pistons so the permanant switchs are on directional so the pistons dont go back and each piston gets the magnetic key on the last piston closer to the mgnetic key switch at the end and when the magentic switch is activated (this is just an idea) it could open a door at the finish line. And you dont have to use chekpoints could maybe just be an object with the sensor switch on. New Idea : Advanced Weapon System My Proposed AWS would allow you to: Give Sackboy a Certain Amount of Health Allow any object to be turned into a bullet. The Bullets would be an emitter variant called the "Weapon Emitter" This would have all the regular emitter options (Speed, Angle, Object, etc.) plus these ones ---------------------------------------- Size - Allows adjustment of the size of the emitted objects Damage - Allows you to set the damage done Be Destructive ??? - Toggle whether it will damage destructible materials Plus other Weapon Related Options -------------------------------------- There would also be a new global setting which would let you set sackboy's HP (Which would be regenerative) Every time sackboy gets hit he will quickly flash red, as he takes more damage a faint red aura would begin to surround sackboy, intensifying with more damage until POP, there goes sackboy.
