I just thought of this level so it is a very loose idea at the moment. The idea is a level in honor of all those classic black and white wholesome cartoons some of us watched as a child. I was thinking to make a happy sun and dancing trees or fences as you see in some of the cartoons. and it would have a classic big fat evil guy who showed up ever so often to screw up your journey. At the very end there would be the boss battle that would be a race against time. basically the big fat bad guy tied the damsel up to the railroad tracks or a log in a old logging factory and you have to beat him then grab and drag her off or the exit wouldn't show up(if that is possible or maybe if there is pressure sensitive you have to drag her on the button to get to the door). This is a loose idea but i think if i could keep the materials black and white it would look pretty spiffy. what do you think?

It will be very interesting, a good black and white level will be nice. I wonder if you can make it to where the sackboy comes in black and white also. It may seem odd to have them only color and level is black and white.

The only way to exclude color is if there is a filter effect like the replays on Ninja Gaiden 2. This would give it that old black and white western look. It would be even cooler if you're able to have some old music or, have the words pop up on the screen after they talk.

oH yeah that would be cool, or just go with a silent one. Like the old Disney cartoons that were silent movies. And also some good music to go with it. Good stuff. I love this idea and can't wait to see it. There is so many good old cartoons to go off. Funny stuff.

you could get different shades of gray for every color... then paint everything to make it look old-timey

the only thing in the world that wouldn't be a shade of gray was gonna be sackboys cause i don't think i can get that kind of option. but if there are filters to the visual to make it black and white or sepia toned that would be so much easier and awesome to think of how other people could utilize it. If anyone would like to be a part of this speak up and we can plan to create it when the game comes out in late oct.

I won't be adding a slight tone of racism as I don't like like that undertone in old cartoons. I want to make a wholesome fun level without making anyone feel any uneasy when playing or make a skin head get his jollies.
