Hi everyone, i pop my LBP disk in my PS3, been a while i didn't played... First thing i realize, my pod is back to an older version, i mean it is decorated like i did a while ago... Then i open my menu and i don't have all the costumes i had, hair and stuff... Guess what my game is no more 100% completed, i had 3 stages to aced and i was 100% complete... Now its like i only have 50% of the game completed... Even less... Any idea why this happened? Is there anything i can do to bring back the game where it was? Very frustrating right now with all the time i've put in this game... EDIT: My trophies are still there... What a mess...

Im sorry that i need to tell you this but you have a corrupted save file. This means that you have on some occasion turned the ps3 off while the sackboy symbol is in the bottom left corner of the screen and somehow this has destroyed your save file. I dont think that theres a solution for this problem but i have heard people talking about sending savefiles to Mm so that they can fix it if theres an issue. (please correct me if im wrong in any way and post a link to the instructions for this if you know where they are) This happened to me once, first i lost a lot of work on my level and of my story mode progress etc and everytime i logged in i lost everything i had tried to redo, then a message showed up that told me that i needed to delete the save files and start on a new one to be able to play . But since then ive managed to redo the story and my level and start working on a new one , nowadays i always keep a backup save on another playstation profile and i always publish my work locked each time i save the level to keep this from affecting me again.

I will have to completely agree with Marklin80 about turning your PS3 off while it was saving because my fiance lectured me about doing that when we got our PS3 and the game LBP , also on other games as well. Sorry to hear that you lost so much stuff and have to play so much of the game over but it will be worth it and should be easier for you this time since you have already played through it. Anyways good luck and remember what ever you do, DON'T TURN OFF YOUR PS3 WHILE THE SACKBOY SYMBOL IS IN THE LEFT CORNER!!! Wish you the best of luck on going through it again....

Sadly there's also profile related save problems. You can never be 100% safe. - BACK UP your save. - Keep your profile clean. - And do not turn off while the game is accessing the HDD (the little sackboy icon) .

First i want to thank both of you for the time you've taken to answer my post! Secondly, you have just solved why this has happened. I have two kids, i let them play with the PS3 and i trust them because i am the one who showed them how it works and you know kids these days learn very fast! The thing is that saturday i invited a friend of mine with his wife and 4 kids... My son wanted to show them LBP and all of the cool characters i've made, with all of the excitation and distraction he must have shut down the PS3 while it was on the loading screen... Well, i can't blame a 6 year old kid for that i guess... lol I'll have to redo the game again i guess, but anyway im use to this, i must have beaten 3 times each of the MGS games... hehe All right, thanks again for the answer, this must be the only reason why i've lost almost everything...
