AWZOMEMANS REVIEWS: The Final Frontier by Super_Sonic5411

The Final Frontier by Super_Sonic5411 (or just Sonic5411 here on the forums) is a level that takes place, wherelse, SPACE! You are, for some reason, with this astronaut who has crashed. I like to believe it's because sackboy's home planet got overrun by zombies and jump through flaming rings to grab on to his space ship to fly away, but you can imagine whatever you like. It's pretty much two levels in one and whatever path you choose, both are quite enjoyable. The first thing I have to mention about this level is that I really like the floating pieces of rock. There's just something about them....it's fun to grab them and float around with them. I don't know, there's just something about these subtle differences that add a lot to a level. Final Frontier looks good enough. It isn't as polished as some other levels, but it looks good enough and materials are wisely chosen. The stars are a nice touch, too. Oh, and did I mention the genius flying stars? Yes, Sonic has put flying stars into the level and I love them. Again, subtle touches set this level apart from others. A big part of this level is that...it's two levels in one, SORT OF LIKE HOW MY LEVEL LITTLEBIGGLACIER HAS 2 DIFFERENT ENDINGS!!!!!! One path you get to go through some kind of space factory which makes rocks that disappear after a while and some robots that make sure that no one steals these magical rocks. You also get to ride a giant ladle full of mashed potaters...or at least that's what it looked like to me.... Then you jump on some more giant rocks and find the ship....... It's fun, but not really too exciting. Now the other section YOU BATTLE SPACE LOBSTERS THAT SHOOT ELECTRICITY AT YOU! Sonic says they're scorpions! Pfft! They're lobsters. The lobsters are actually kind of difficult if you can't dodge their projectiles. It takes some practice to be able to dodge these...if you're like me....but it's pretty rewarding when you do. This all leads up to an epic boss fight with a giant lobster sitting on a bed of fire that shoots fire at YOU and you have to ride his giant lobster stinger to get up and jump all over his brains. Pretty friggin sweet, right? If you say no I'll punch you in the face. One thing that makes this level great is its inventive enemies. Not only that, but they're high quality too. One enemy is a little robot thing that has a light and when you walk through that light it puts up an electrified shield that stops you from getting to the brain. The other is a lobster that shoots electrified projectiles at you. And the boss is awesome too. They may not sound too cool here, but once you actually play it you'll see what I mean. So The Final Frontier is a level that deserves a look at. It is a good level with creative enemies, is good to look at, and has a sweet boss. Check it out. <3 | 2009-02-15 02:45:00 Author: qrtda235566 Posts: 3664 |
