I will put up any signatures I make here.
(all of my sigs are made using power point and microsoft word mostly but some use parts from GIMP)

This is my first sig for on this site. I made it from pictures on the internet and autoshapes on microsoft word. To be honest I find it to be a complete failure, lol. Combo to avatar 1. BAD

I made this in a similar way to the one above. I kind of like this one because of it's fade effect and I like the basic font style used. BAD

I got the background from another site and edited it, I made 'S-A-S--G-U-N-R' out of the letters in 'Dead Space'. I had a few problems constructing the U, N and R so they are quite messy. BAD

V1- Used render for Issac, others are normal images. Having no background makes it look a bit plain. BAD

This was when I decided to have a go at using GIMP. This brush type looked the most interesting of the defaults but I'll probably be downloading more.

Made this one like the one above. With a plain black background it makes the colourful areas look brighter.

Just made this simple MGS4 sig on word in about 2-3 minutes. I looked at actual MGS4 pictures and drew them with one of the line tools. (That's why it's rubbish) BAD

Metallica sig. I made EVERYTHING except the logo (edited it's colours though). Made mostly on Powerpoint, background on GIMP (clouds and lightning were mixed brushes), font designed on Powerpoint with a free-form tool and the edges were semi-transparant fill effects. (Round 13 SOTW entry also).

Thanks, me too. I'ts because it has a detailed background. I used the 2nd one down as my new signature though because once you look at the last letters on 'S-A-S--G-U-N-R' (on the dead space one), they are a bit messy.		2009-02-14 21:48:00

Ok then, I've added a darkish background. Didn't want to put much else on otherwise it would have looked too messy.

I won't be able to change the mario sackboy because the whole thing is saved an an image and it would be quite difficult to edit it. Especially when all of mine are made on microsoft word.2009-02-16 18:01:00

It just took me a while to find what I was looking for. By the way, that background image was green originally but I made it greyscale, then put a square over it in powerpoint. I then changed the fill effects untill it looked like that.

Ok then, I'll start making a Killzone 2 one now. I might end up with Killzone 2 in a bundle when I get a new PS3. It's stupid sending off your PS3 for Sony to 'repair' anyway. It costs ?90 and you will end up with another persons broken ('repaired&apos PS3. Oh, and "If you want your PS3 back then you will have to wait 6 to 7 months".

Yeah, I know what you mean. As I said, it wasn't what I set out to make but there seems to be something missing. Normally I don't like to leave blank spaces but I did in this one. After I did the first one I quickly corrected it and it didn't look as good as I wanted it. I'm planing on making another Killzone 2 one though.:kz:

Also it may have been because of the C4D in the background. I didn't take my time to select the best suiting one for the image.		2009-02-21 00:35:00

I took my time on it better and found a better C4D. Nothing much happening in it but it's still better than the 1st. I tried to make it almost have a glassy type of border, it's entirely made on powerpoint.

S-A-S, if you use GIMP I advise you to use some more filters, experiment a bit, thats what I did, using combinations of pen/filters you can get some very cool effects, such as fire.

There are a HUGE amount of filters at your disposal (If you use GIMP or PS)

Thanks for the info. Most of the time though (well almost all of the time) I'm using powerpoint. All of my sigs made, even if they contained an element of GIMP, had a screenshot of them taken and were moved onto powerpoint. If you notice, what I call, the 'glassy' borders that I have used for the recent sigs, then they were entirely made on powerpoint aswell.

I know that I would probably make better sigs if I moved on to GIMP, but I know fully how to use layers and stuff on powerpoint. All you have to do is right-click and you can change a shape's layer.

I used to use that, but I switched to 450x150 for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Infact, I actually got the initial size of 400x125 from you. :O		2009-02-23 13:42:00

It's the same dimensions as the original one.

I don't know why I haven't seen this thread before, but your work is pretty cool. Your technique with GIMP pays off, but the most surprising is your PowerPoint work.

I live and breath PowerPoint at work and know how tricky it can be to produce good quality flat images - it achieves an effect similar to that of Illustrator - very clean and graphical.

I'll keep on watch on this now
