Help With Controllinators!

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted here in a LOOOONG time. I'm on the verge of completing what I believe to be my best creation yet. However, one of the few things that needs tweaking is my menu at the start of the level.

You see, for some reason, in play mode, Sackboy will not enter the controllinator automatically. On the other hand, all is fine in create mode. I am quite baffled if I say so myself, and could use a helping hand. I'm not the most advanced logic user, so I figure some of you masterminds will know how to get around this problem. If you wish to join me in create mode to get a further understanding of the logic that takes place upon starting the level, feel free to add me on PSN (same as forum name).

Well, I might not be able to get on PSN for a little while, but what you could do is use tags from the controller that you are in that is sent to the input controls in the menu if all else fails. But with the bot, it might be that its not being allowed to get in the controlinators, but if it is, check if bots spawned also have that allowed, that might be the cause. My last guess would be that the seat gets disabled somehow, either by becoming occupied, or being prematurely disabled, for whatever reason. If all of my approaches fail, then get back to me on this forum so that I can join you later, and maybe try to figure it out with you ingame

If the level entrance and controlinator aren't in the camera radius of the menu try moving them there. The player won't spawn if the level entrance is off-camera.2014-05-22 11:57:00

Thanks for your contribution guys. I still couldn't manage to get it to work. I just "hid" the defects in a way. There's some extra logic involved, and it looks like a mess, but it works.

That's a shame, I wonder what the issue is.

I had the same problem with my level, but I guess the cause is different if fiddling with the camera zones didn't help.

I may know your problem. You entered it in create mode and exited it by flying instead of the hardwired method. Just switch it out of auto enter and back on and it'll fix. (Hopefully) this has happened to me a lot at least. If that's not it, I'd have to see the logic.2014-06-05 21:45:00
