How do you get someone who dies to spawn somewhere else?

Archive: 6 posts

I am interested in finding out how to spawn someone some other place than the last checkpoint they have been to....

Is it just a matter of using an entrance?

Uhm... well generally I think people use some sort of mechanism to transport the checkpoint to a different area in the level.

I'm pretty sure most people use a piston. They make a censor switch to activate when you're right near the checkpoint and have activated it, then make it move somewhere else in the level.

There's a few other ideas too, which are mostly in MM's survival challenge video.

I don't personally know how to do it, but this thread should be very helpful to you;

you have to have more than one checkpoint and somehow cover one up so the only available one is the otherone. This way you can have both a useable checkpoint and a transporter for once the objective has been achieved.2009-02-14 23:39:00

it you destroy all other available checkpoints you can emit an activated checkpoint and itll work.. you may be looking for the other way that Ghost said, about survival challenge Checkpoints, that would work too.2009-02-15 01:50:00
