I wouldn't mind one of the TV head costume. You're talking about the 3D looking shots of characters... right? (sorry - I'm not up on my terminology) thank you! It's great!

A render is an image of a character or an object without the background.

ok - no problem. Not that big a deal - I was thinking of using one on a signature. I'll see if I can find something else that will work. Thanks for checking. I was able to cobble together an ok version of the worried sackboy - check out the signature challenge round 5 to see it if you're interested.

Just a little question...Why are all renders backgrounds black? All the renders I find have black backgrounds, which makes taking out the background a pain....

Where do you find your renders from? http://www.planetrenders.net? If so then you have to be a member to see them with a clear background. If you are a member, then click on the image to see the clear background version. If a picture has a background on, I usually take it onto powerpoint and open the image toolbar. On there is a tool that can, when clicked onto an image, can take away a single colour. Hope this helps.

That's strange, when I find renders on planetrenders they're usually clear. I've seen renders with green backgrounds before but they're easy to remove.

You need to save the image, not copy it. This is because the background is actually alpha. (Invisible) Hope this doesn't step on anyone's toes .. but I'm taking photoshop and this was a great exercise for me! The facial expressions came from the Little Big Planet boards (you can change your facial expression to match your mood). That's what I hate about CS .. the magic wand with it compaired to the one with CS3 .. it's amazing how different they really are lol. CS3's magic wand is so much cleaner. Maybe I'll try it again tommorrow at school haha.

No problem, I'm very interested in graphic design, I'm contemplating making another minor on top of my design degree. That and AutoCad/3d Max/Accurender .. are all so awesome to work with! I tend to lose great chunks of time when I sit down and start on something lol.
