How to delete a sticker

Archive: 12 posts

Hi all, after finishing the construction of my first level I decided to start adding some stickers. Problem is I need to delete some of the stickers that I have placed and can't seem to figure out how to do it. I've tried deleting the background that the sticker was placed on and then filling it back in but the sticker re-appears.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Go into popit and enter "stickers and decoration".

On top of the popit page you should have 2 tools, the first tool is the one you need in order to remove the stickers and the second one is the camera.

With that tool you just click on a sticker and it will be remove (at that moment you can cancel the sticker with O button or place it elsewhere.)

Yeah, deleting sticker is really tedious and annoying if you want to remove more than one. There should be a full eraser tool.2009-02-11 17:01:00

Sometimes it's fun to go around deleting stickers in story mode... you find some pretty creative uses of stickers that way.2009-02-11 17:28:00

I will mention, however... be careful about what you sticker. On more than one occasion in story mode I've had stickers/decorations become permanent... AKA I can't remove them. Don't know why, it's clearly a sticker, but I can't take it off. For instance I placed a red charm on a rope. I then moved the rope and a few red charms sat there floating in mid air, which I couldn't remove. In order to get rid of them I had to delete the entire rope...

Just something to look out for.

I don't think there needs to be a full-on erase/wash tool... but just staying in the select tool instead of dropping back to the pop-it when you delete would be very useful.

Wait... you can sticker/decorate rope? I always figured it would just go behind, since it's a non-interactive object in a sense, like switches.

Yeah, I thought so, too. But you totally can. It's great.2009-02-11 23:41:00

For easier deleting: when you have the "sticker popit" selected you don't have to select and go back into the menu to delete stickers. You can just hit TRIANGLE like with materials. It's not explained too well...2009-02-12 07:28:00

Hehe, for a long time I didn't realize you could remove stickers at all, so I would always just cover over stickers with new ones if I made a mistake. I'd have to go back and look, but I imagine my level Domino Race would fill a whole lot less of the meter if I and created the dominos more efficiently.2009-02-12 17:29:00

Really? Sweet! I've noticed it's the same with community objects and costumes... you don't have to go all the way into the square-menu. I guess I never tried it with the sticker tool. Some of these things should really be better documented. anyway, thanks for letting me know!
