Needless to say, this should be taken strictly as a colossal rumor for the time being, with official details on the game embargoed until this Friday following an LA press event last night. With that out of the way, on with the gossip: ?Unlike God of War 1 and 2 where there are only 15 enemies on screen, there will now be around 50 this time. ?You can ride monsters like the Cyclops and ?control?. ?Kratos on the PS2 used 5,000 polygons, now he uses 20,000. ?They made the weapons ?better? so it adds more variety. Like with a different weapon, you don't get just a couple different attacks, but a whole different play style. ?The lion gauntlets are called Cestus. ?Enemy AI?s are a lot smarter. Some of the enemies will be ?commanders? and control the other grunts. ?Enemies will look different, even if they?re the same type. Like, even though the skeleton soldiers are in the same category, they will have varied looks, so it's not like everyone looks the same. ?More boss fights than GoW 1, but less than GoW 2. ?No multiplayer. ?Hades boss fight confirmed.

Simply can't make a lot of it out. I'm sure it's perfectly visible to a lot of you, but I'm too old - and just too blind to be honest - to read the article in that format. Darn. Anything major that anyone noticed that wasn't mentioned in my original post? I'm sure the Game Informer article is the source of the rumors themselves. If I can get confirmation, I'll change the thread title to indicate it.

Release date to be announced at E3... *crosses fingers for 2009 release* Hopefully, this is the beginning of a lot of information to come out about this title. I'm sure it won't be a raging river of details just yet, but we should be a pretty steady stream in my opinion.

Read the hands on, everyone is overwhelmingly positive on the game they saw, something not seen for PS3 only games (as there is something always wrong with them, KZ2 shows this) Killzone was lamented for it's infamous 2005 trailer. This is overwhelmingly positive on all fronts.This will be Sony's biggest, or second biggest game this generation. And I'll just leave these here.... No, this is even bigger and will be bigger. Read the hands on, everyone is overwhelmingly positive on the game they saw, something not seen for PS3 only games (as there is something always wrong with them, KZ2 shows this) I'm talking about the launch period not early build opinions, both are clearly big games for the system and currently GOW3 is potentially launching in the first few months of 2010 as it would be a different finacial quarter for Sony than the other first party releases that are in the christmas period which spreads their revenue and will focus media attention which wouldn't be quite as high in a timeframe with 3-4 big games launching each week.

Killzone was lamented for it's infamous 2005 trailer. This is overwhelmingly positive on all fronts.This will be Sony's biggest, or second biggest game this generation. People might have ripped on Killzone when the CG trailer first premiered way about at E3 2005, but most reviewers state that Guerrilla came pretty darn close to that projection. That said, I get giddy when I think about how good this game could potentially be. I'd like it to be pretty, but I want it to play great more than anything else. I'm sure it won't disappoint.
