Win a Sackboy Figurine from MM!

Archive: 19 posts

MM have released details on a new competition. Here's what they have to say......

As part of our ?I ♥ PlayStation? month of events, we?d like all you LittleBigPlanet level creators out there to take up our February level design challenge.

We?d like you to create a fun, surprising and ingenious LittleBigPlanet level that requires two players to play through and complete. So any contraptions, puzzles or devices that you include in your level must involve the co-operation of two little Sackboys (or Sackgirls!) to finish.

When you upload your 2-player LittleBigPlanet level, make sure you use the following 4-letter tag at the start of your level name so we can spot it: ?LBPF? (the F?s for ?February?!). Please also ensure that any levels you upload agree with the LittleBigPlanet Upload Guidelines.

At the end of the month, MediaMolecule will pick out the best level and reward its creator with an adorable Sackboy figurine and the very rare, much-coveted LBP Crown!

Upload your levels by midnight on Monday 23 February 2009 to be in with a chance of winning. Good luck!

For an overview of all the other fantastic events that we?re running throughout February, take a look at the PSN Events Calendar.

Terms and Conditions:
* The Competition is open to residents of Austria, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom aged 12 or over except employees of the Sony Computer Entertainment companies, their families, agents or any other person professionally connected with the Competition.

* All LittleBigPlanet levels must include ?LBPF? at the start of the level name to be eligible.

* All LittleBigPlanet levels must require 2 players to complete.

* Do not include any content that you are not entitled to use, or that may be deemed to be offensive, defamatory or otherwise in breach of the PlayStation Network Terms of Use or LittleBigPlanet Upload Guidelines.

* The closing date for receipt of entries is 23:59 GMT on Monday 23 February 2009 (the ?Closing Date?).

This would be such a pain to do.. Since playtesting would require 2 controllers. So you either have to playtest on your own, with 2 controllers. Or have a buddy come over... 2009-02-10 16:49:00

I never thought about this (because I have a brother who plays through things with me) but I suppose it promotes their game a lot. Your friend who comes will be like ":O, look what LBP can do - I'ma go buy it!"
Genius really, my level is still in the developing stage at this for the moment, but it should be finished in time (please!)

Run by Sony Computer Entertainment EUROPE. I guess North America can just wait until the next one. I don't know how I'd make a level anyway 2009-02-11 12:13:00

Wait... It's not in the US?!?!?

GRRRR....

I just spent three days making a Valentine's Day level that required two players... Ah well, I guess I'll just submit it anyways.

Just wondering how to enter . Do I just publish a level in the usual way but with LBPF in the name or do I need to do anything different to make sure MM know I have submitted an entry I want judging. I just thought with all the millions of levels there must be out there it could easily be overlooked until after the closing date ( I know through experience that the search option isn't particularly good because I have typed in exactly what I know levels are called and the creator and it comes up with something totally different ). Also I wonder why there has been nothing about it in the news section in the pod control or on the Mm site ( at least I haven't seen anything ).
Thanks in advance for any info.
