name of or info on early alcatraz level

Archive: 10 posts

Hi.

There was an "escape from alcatraz"-themed level available late last year. It was fairly simple but had some actual imagery from the movie. I was really hoping to refer to it in something I'm writing about b-grade cinema, but I can't find it. If this level rings bells with anyone, could you remind me of its name? If it has gone and anyone knows anything about it (e.g. was it pulled for containing actor's images etc..) any info would be useful.

Thanks

Search for my name and it's in my hearted levels on page 2 in Canada (...I think - not so good with where things are in America!)2009-02-09 10:22:00

Thanks guys. I tried searching for "escape" and "alcatraz". No luck. Turnipeater, I tried searching for you and looking at your hearted levels, no luck. If you think you know the level, tell me the name you see, and I'll try searching for that.

Thanks

It's impossible you can't find turnipeater.

-Go on the level planet (central one)
-Select "community" and then "search"
-Select "text"
-When the virtual keyboard is there, enter "@turnipeater"

The results will only be Turnipeater levels.
After that you go...

-Click (square) on one of Turnipeater level.
-Select "find more from this author".

Now you will be on his "published level page".

-Change the page with R1 to reach the "hearted levels page".

The guy might have more than one page, scroll through them with L1 and R1.

I think he means he didn't see it on Turnipeaters hearted levels, not that he couldn't find them. I hope it didn't get pulled, tho it wouldn't surprise me. :/2009-02-09 20:45:00

Actually it might also be a bug.

My hearted list once was 12 pages and now it's only 11.

Thing is, some levels will "de-heart" themselves!! At some point I was looking for an extremely popular level I had in my hearted list. I was like "wtf, it's impossible I can't find it anymore". I had a search in I obviously found the level... and it wasn't hearted anymore.

So from time to time people are "losing" levels in their hearted list. Just another bug to add to the infinite list we already have.

It might not be a bug, people might be deleting their levels. All the plays and hearts would disappear if that was the case. If the level is then republished, you heart won't reappear as it's considered a new level, even if it's identical to the level that was just deleted.

I thought I had the Arcatraz level in question on my hearted levels list. I had a look through today and did not find it.

I don't think moderation automatically removes hearts though. It's just you can't access it until the author cleans up the level and gets it approved. At least I think that's how it works.

old levels don't get de-hearted.
i hearted a level before I played escape from Alcatraz and it's still there, while the Alcatraz level isn't there anymore.

Author probably deleted it.

It seems that levels DO get de-hearted. I swear it's happening.

It's been months I did heart the Sackhouette's levels and I also heart my own levels. Well, both the Sackhouette levels and my own levels did "de-heart" at least once since some time.

Also, if you hearted a level and the author erased it, it does NOT disappear. I clicked on some buddy's level like 3 weeks ago and it wouldn't load. I used "find more content from this author" and it wasn't in his published levels anymore. I Emailed him asking what the hell happened and he said he erased it at some point but could republish it I want.

Moderation also doesn't remove the level from your hearteds. I had that Geosautus God of War level hearted for MONTHS after it was moderated.

No seriously, all of this is happening, i'm not crazy yet. lol
What can probably happen though is that each month or two MM might revalidate, refresh the info in their server and at this point your list might change according wich level has been erased and whatnot. I'm suspecting this kind of maintenance with their server because lately my hearted levels are changing pages! And I do not mean those normal one page jumps there, I mean going from like the first page to the last one! My hearted levels aren't always listed from the newest to oldest from some reason. This or people in general REALLY started to republish their levels constantly.
