No matter how I try I just can't get this trailer to play on the forums. The link is right, it just won't play the video.

This isn't the same link, and it's longer than the one posted and has rubbish at the start and end, but in the middle is the proper trailer.

In other news though, I found this cool video while looking for a replacement.

Can't wait. Just wish the Dinobots were in the movie too. I know Michael Bay wants to keep it "realistic." But you can have triple-changer Dinobots... robots than turn into dinos that turn into tanks or something...2009-02-18 16:16:00

Went to see Transformers at the theatre.
I was pretty bored and actually fell asleep in the finale. So yeah, can't say I'm exactly thrilled. My advice is get better actors.
and writers.

Oh, and more robots.

Well, it is a Michael Bay film after all. What did you expect?

Wow...
The last two comments were really well expressed?
Maybe I might consider your dislikes to it if you maybe expressed it with reasons or something? But for the moment I'll settle for it as being petty little nitpicking.

How can you judge the actors when the main's are in their early years? Of course they're gonna have their imperfections (but I don't see where your pickiness is coming from).

Anyway, I thought it was a brilliant film, considering the concept they had to go off. Sorry if it didn't have all the "deep meaning" and one-liners you might've wanted, but it does it for me.
"Sam's happy time" will do for my one-liner

Well, I liked Transformers. That's why I posted the showest clips and said it looked great.
My point was: you pretty much know what you're going to see onscreen when you go see a Michael Bay film. Mindless (but fun) action.

It wasn't really mindless at all imo...
Most of the film was the story, rather than the action, kept a nice balance, getting us begging for more action ^_^

Of course it is. I have little interest in starting to list the thousand faults I had with this flick when ultimately it all just comes down to taste.

So, an actors ability to portray a character may only be judged if said actor is over 21 years of age?

(but I don't see where your pickiness is coming from).
Shia LaBeouf's acting summed up in a minute:

Good for you. I didn't, lets agree to disagree.

I had no idea that one-liners and deep meaning went hand in hand. I guess I was just a little overfed with all the product placement and dumbed-down content.
Honestly, the 1986 version was more 'thoughtful' than this flick. (Warning, contains strong language)

New trailer is up:
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809943432/trailer

Looks good, the only thing I dislike is that they seem to have brought back absolutely every human character from the first movie for probably no good reason...why are we seeing the same army guys again?

The video is hilarious, but he didn't do that for the entire film. He really is a great actor.

By the way, a movie is meant to ENTERTAIN! I don't pay 10 bucks to see deep meaning! I read poetry for that! When I got to the movies and I see an ACTION MOVIE, I expect ACTION. Fun, entertaining, thrilling, action! Just go watch "The Curious Case Benjamin Button" or something like that. That's your type of movie.

Understood, I simply wasn't entertained. I can completely enjoy dumbed down action movies that feature brutal fighting and little in character depth. This movie just didn't substitute nearly enough butt kicking to make up for the shoot-me-now dullness of the main characters. Honestly, I wanted to gnaw off my arm, just so I would have something to throw at the screen...

Mr. La-buff was okay as Indies kid in that new movie, but other than that he's done nothing to garner any respect from me.

This is a fair point, except that Transformers was just bad, which made the action boring.

If you want to watch a good action movie how about: "Wanted", "Live Free or Die Hard", "Layer Cake", or "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". These are the recent ones I can think of, and they are all a lot better than Transformers.
