little big BATTLE PONG

Archive: 4 posts

This is a new level i made inspired by pong. I have published it but want to go back and refine the ball movement a little better. It is made for 2 to 4 players. 2 players control the paddles using jetpacks which shoot out plasma balls when grabbed and the other players use paint guns to shoot the paddles. after hiting the paddles enough plasma balls will be release at the player behind the paddle (considering lowering the number of hits required so would like some feed back on that). A scoring system was implamented so that the first team to score five goals will win. all the mechanics are done now so i published it i still want to go back and refine the ball movement a little. feedback is appreciated

sounds cool lol you could easily make real ping pong use same basics but when both rackects are held make it so it emmits a ball from above the table then make it so when it goes off it will dissolve somehow2009-02-07 16:17:00

I recently got 4 people to gether to test the level out. and it was pretty hectic experiance. i decided i will require less paint balls to activate the plasma balls when shoot at the paddles( tonight sometime will make that change). This will make it better for the paintinator players.. Four players is definitely the way to go on this level so if you can round up 4 people give it a play.2009-02-10 23:21:00

I was one of those 4 people, and all 4 of us were having a blast... it's extremely competitive, but very open to mess around with. I haven't played any 4 player mini games like this where everyone is just all over the place trying to wage war for a few points.

The scoring system is extremely complex even though you can't see all the logic gates involved in it... it's quite a nice set up, very polished and tested.
