I hate it when you're excited to make a level but then run out of steam. I wanna crack on with it but my mind has gone blank and it's so frustrating. I end making a load of rubbish and then deleting it the next day. I just end up in my lab experimenting and creating gadgets that i have no use for. | 2014-03-20 18:07:00 Author: TEENWULF Posts: 133 |
What kind of levels do you like to create? Like, platformers, or shooters, or VS etc.? | 2014-03-20 18:43:00 Author: LittleBigSnooth Posts: 454 |
Adventure/quests mostly. I suppose they would fall under the platformer banner. | 2014-03-20 18:52:00 Author: TEENWULF Posts: 133 |
Sometimes it's best to find a theme you like, pick a certain number of materials and then just start making some simple puzzles and obstacles Then, once the ball is rolling, start to add deco and more advanced stuff. That's how I do it anyway. Start with theme, then materials, then obstacles, then advanced, then deco, rinse and repeat until the thermo makes it a stupidly short level haha | 2014-03-20 19:53:00 Author: LittleBigSnooth Posts: 454 |
This must be the hundredth level i've made. I've already done a lot on it, I just ran out of ideas. I've been creating since day one of LBP1 and I'm finding it hard to come up with anything new for it. I have a general story line, I just need to fit it all together. | 2014-03-20 20:07:00 Author: TEENWULF Posts: 133 |
It's hard to create when you're in front of the screen with all that stuff you "could" use... If you have a storyline already, what kind of movie/game/book would it be? Is there something you can relate with in LBP2? If you like adventure, why not going the opposite of what everybody does? Usually you go somewhere, get something, and come back home safely. Why not trying this: you start with the object of your quest, and you must get it back to the museum, having to reset all the traps in the temple because that object wouldn't pass otherwise... You know what I'd like to see in LBP2? A whodunit. I'm not even sure there is one in LBP. I'd probably make one, one day. | 2014-03-21 05:10:00 Author: Djibees Posts: 189 |

I hope you do one as I'd love to play it! | 2014-03-21 11:49:00 Author: TEENWULF Posts: 133 |
