Logo created by the awesome biorogue!

They are tasked with an important duty to make their LitteBigPlanet Fan-site clean of those pesky spam bots and taking action to promote safety and fairness using their power and mighty ban hammer for good. Some of them were super awesome enough to answer questions about partaking in such a role, the role of being a moderator!

Note: The names of the Moderators that are in blue are from LittleBigNetwork.com, the names in orange are from LBPCentral.com, and the names in purple are from LittleBigForum.net.

1. How did you get your spot as a Moderator for the fan-site? How long have you been moderating there?

Man, how long have I been moderating here? I don't know, couple of years maybe. I moved up the ranks during the LBN Promotions until I was given the opportunity to become a Moderator. The ones who become eligible to become mod are then voted on by the other mods, admin, and Honored Sacks.
Xerorogue
Hahahaha well, I had the luck to become one of LBF's first members pretty much a couple of days after its launch. I saw great potential from the original admin back in those days (Deka1357) and a great design ability; so I thought LBF could have what was needed to succeed as an important LBP fansite eventually. They were asking for moderators, so I tried giving it a shot. I sent my application and got into the original team. So yeah, I have been moderating in LBF ever since it started.
Yugnar
It was at a time when spam bots were overtaking the site. CC and I spoke and he decided to offer me a position as a Mod. I've been a mod for a little over 2 years now.
Lady_Luck_777
I've been a member at littlebignetwork for a VERY long time, and I think that the admins have seen me develop as a member and mature, I feel that I really kind of proved that I was ready to be a moderator though when our original site got hacked, and we had no mods (after the hacked banned mods and admins) I stood up and tried to reassure the members that everything was going to be okay, providing them with the information that the mods and admins had sent whilst they were quickly trying to figure out how to get back on. As for dates, I have been officially a mod for a year and a month however I was a granted mod powers as a birthday gift so I had it for a little while before hand!
The Sexy Sack ManI was held hostage in a vat of syrup and jam for several days. Taffey said I could only get pancakes, a fork and let loose if I agreed to become a mod for LBPC. I just passed a year a few days ago, though I have been somewhat an unofficial mod for quite some time.
Jwwphotos
As you know, this forum was first created in the summer of 2012 by my good friend DeKa1357. I was one of the first members to join and I asked DK if I could be a moderator. So yeah, I became one and I was actually really happy because I was the first moderator here I have been moderating this forum since then for about 1.5 year.
PyroTrooper1
I was asked by ConfusedCartman to be a moderator after rtm223 wanted to retire. I've been moderating for 3 years now.
Morgana25
Well I joined and started as member on 08.10.2012. In a couple of months after my active appearance I became a staff member, cause DK was looking for someone to do the Top or Flop when FreddyFerrari stopped. Then after 3 months I became a moderator "just for fun". I mean, I asked for a joke DK to make me a moderator and he did!!! I couldn't believe it in the beginning but next I used to it and HERE I AM!!

2.What was the weirdest moment you had being a moderator?

Depends on what you consider weird.
Lady_Luck_777
Ugh, two people whom I shall not mention, but they were pretty famous in the LBP community, came in one night and started a spam session back in forth. I issued a couple of warnings, they continued, so I locked the thread. Then they started a new thread and started posting some of the nastiest, most disgusting pictures I have ever seen. The weird thing is who the two individuals were. At one time they were pretty well respected, or one of them anyway, and I just couldn't figure why? To what purpose?

Another time was when this spambot signed up and within about 5 minutes had posted around 50 posts all around the site. It wasn't like the normal spambot post either. Usually those are pretty short and occasionally you'll get that wall of text about @#$%# or something, but this one, this one was a doozy. You had to scroll the mouse wheel about 25 times just to see all of the post and it posted about 50 of these things. And it had pictures all in it. Not dirty pics or anything like that. I think it was for couches or something. Anyway, it took a really long time to find all those and delete them.

Xerorogue
Haha, that's a pretty good question! As I mentioned I was really excited about being a moderator, thus I wrote in my LBP2 profile that I'm a moderator on LittleBigForum. So after a few days, a random kept inviting me in-game, I joined... And he was taking photographs with me and kept asking to report another person in-game. He also asked how it is working for Mm and so on. Hehe, he was thinking that I was working for Mm xD That's the most weird thing about my experience that comes to my mind at the moment.
PyroTrooper91
Weirdest? Um.... Can't say as I've had a weird experience as yet.
Morgana25
Hmmmm well that is a hard one. The weirdest moments are when you see posts so weird you don't know if you gotta classify them as spam or as... curious posts. Once there was this guy who published a thread in the General Discussion area talking about the best ways to decorate your house. I thought it was... rather hilarious being in an LBP site but I didn't thought it deserved moderation at the time. Eventually the same guy posted like 3 or more threads about decorating bathrooms and things of that sort and we had to ban the guy as the site was getting really spammy with website promotion and a cheap interior design course.
Yugnar
There is a (not so secret) part of the forums where us mods and admins can talk about things, such as promotions, contest ideas and just generally chat about our day, and when I was made a mod, this obviously was then accessible to me, and then I saw all the things that the mods and admins had said about me, which was really nice and it really made me smile!!

Also A very weird time, involving me doing mod stuff, was when we had a certain breed of spammers who left 6 pages of posts (that was one bot) so I had about 30 or so pages to delete, which was mental!
OOOHHH I also became a representative for LBN at a sony conference (I couldn't go unfortunately due to having a theory test) but its slightly serial having a creator of LBP have me as a contact for when he wants me to report stuff to members!!
The Sexy Sackman
Hmmm... I can't remember a specific one, but a whole contest was up to me Weird, huh?
jhonsiakGetting Taffey out of the fridge and scraping cheese cake off his hat. Not sure how he got in there. ..no actually I can't really think of a weird moment offhand.

3. How do manage to keep track of all activity for the fan-site you moderate? Is it a superpower?

It is so easy as it seems and you are really right. It's not a superpower, though. Well, Top or Flop is Saturday's job. What else?? NOTHING hehe it's hard, though.
jhonsiak
At first it I wrote things down and followed my list. Since I've been doing it so long now, it's just a routine I got use to. Lol No, no superpower just good old fashion hard work.
Lady_Luck_777
To be honest, with spam and bits like that, the members are really good with helping us mods getting to it quicker, however, I always check new members and check their posts, I also love to help new members out- say they have made a level thread, but the pictures are like 100x100, i will make it bigger for them and just try to help them out, we have all been there, so sometimes its nice to get a helping hand!

The Sexy SackmanWe actually have some pretty cool tools to help us out. Plus we have members that help us by reporting things they might question, so we get these email alerts to check things out. That is when I have to jump into the phone booth (you can't find many these days!!) and put on the cape. ..the only superpowers I have are possibly patience and understanding. Sometimes I need even more though.. lol
JwwphotosTo be honest, it isn't that hard. As big as LBF has become, it is still a long way from being a website with enourmous amounts of activity. Even though we do have lots of posts everyday, it is not very hard to keep track of them and see everyone behaves correctly in the forum, of course with the help of every mod. After all, we are all very active and you can see pretty much every mod logs every day.
Yugnar
I read as much as I can, but we're all human and have lives outside the site too so it's really a team effort to keep an eye on all of the site. The LBPC team is the superpower of the site, not one individual.
Morgana25
I wouldn't say keeping track of all activity for the fan-site is a superpower, at least for me! It's just taking the time to check posts/threads and actually be in the mood to do it. And, I must say, I really enjoy my job here! But, don't forget that checking out all the posts and threads requires a lot of time, but I assume it's worth the time!
PyroTrooper91
Once we become Mod, Enoch bestows upon us the Cloak of Moderation. It's kind of like a Jedi cloak and gives us the ability to see all.
Xerorogue

4. What is it like to have an "overlord" feeling being one of the all-seeing eyes with the ban hammer in your grasp?

I might be weird but I've never had the overlord feeling here. It's more a feeling of responsibility to use what abilities I have for the betterment of the site. It's like a garden, you can't just go in with a lawnmower or you'd kill the flowers along with the weeds... ya know?
Morgana25
WOW... What a question, you are good. I don't know if you mean if the other people have their eyes at me, but I will answer that question I never felt that except of one day that someone asked what are Mm Picks and what Team Picks. I answered with a big rudeness to our future administrator (Reyoar) who quit after a couple of months cause 5 bucks were a lot per month!!!
jhonsiak
I wish we still had the ban hammer in our hands, but when we upgraded the site, moderators could no longer issue bans. We're requesting for that to be reinstated. Myself, I don't have a feeling of being all powerful or anything like that. You know, I just like to come in and help to insure that the site is going as smoothly as possible so that everyone can have a good time here.
Xerorogue
Overlord? Hahahaha that's an awesome concept! You need to be careful when you decide to moderate something of course. Rather than feeling just cool for having the ability to delete pretty much anything or ban somebody, you need to have an excellent emotional intelligence, be very cautious and analyze your decisions, and only ban somebody when it is absolutely necessary. Rather than being an overlord experience it can become quite an stressful one!
Yugnar
I guess I view it differently from some people. I view it more as an honor and responsibility to represent the site and not a way to have "power" over anyone. I try to keep it up to the standards that the site was founded on.
As for the "ban hammer" we don't ban people lightly. If there is an issue we report it, discuss, research and try many other options before banning anyone.
Lady_Luck_777
As mods we can not ban anyone, we can only disable their right to post, which we will obviously use if there is a spam bot! I dont really ever use my powers that much, unless its editing something that a member wants, or just to stop bots infecting the lovely site!
The Sexy Sackman
Umm, it kinda feels well to have that power, you know! But oh well, I don't wanna be the bad one here banning people easily unless someone passes the limits. I also don't like to show off that I'm the upper hand here and people should respect me, though I try to be just like a normal member
PyroTrooper91lol.. I don't think of it like that at all. I step in when some overstep the boundaries of our rules and try to bring them back in line. I've done it for a number of years even before I was a moderator. The good news is I really haven't had to infract or ban that many, though some just don't give you a choice.
Jwwphotos

5. Is there anything you want to see changed overtime while being moderating a fan-site?

I'd love for everyone to think a bit before assuming the worst. Giving each other the benefit of the doubt. However most are pretty nice and happy to call them my friends and extended family. Why I like being here.
JwwphotosNo, not really, all that I have wanted was to have better spam detection stuff, which we actually have, so being a mod is perfect right now! and I think its nice to have the items to do the job properly, as mods, we are peace keepers, which obviously if we could ban people, we arent peace keepers (just incase you're wondering why I didnt saying being able to ban someone)
The Sexy Sackman
Well, I basically want 2 things to be changed while I'm a moderator. Firstly, I want that some of the members stop double posting and second, the forum activity to be increased!
PyroTrooper91
Oh, just the usual internet complaints/irritations; trolls, flame wars, people who can't be civil bringing their drama to the site. That's human nature though.
Morgana25
An easier way to thwart the spambots. Those things are relentless.
Xerorogue
Haha a lot of things.. joke. Well I want to change my smile olice officer emote: (this is me as a police officer) I think everything else is great
jhonsiak
I've seen the site change overtime to become a bit more critical and cynical at times. If I could change anything it would be to have the site become more connected and supportive of each other.
Lady_Luck_777
To see changed... Not really. I like every aspect of the forum I'm a mod in. Of course you get into arguments from time to time with fellow mods or maybe even with the admins, and you would always like to have the last word in some decisions, but to be honest the only thing I believe LBF needs is gather more activity, contests, etc. in a more frequent basis to gain even more importance.
Yugnar

6. Who moderates the moderators at the fan-site? Is there anyone who does?

Well, I always thought that all moderators were equal but now there is someone who does that... NO NAME NO RUDE joky again Everything is fine between as.
jhonsiak
The site administrator would have the ultimate say in that but truthfully if they've put their trust in you and have seen your behavior over time, and offered you the moderator position, they know you've got enough good judgement and common sense not to behave in a way that would NEED to be moderated... at least I'd hope that's the case.
Morgana25
Ehm, I would say no. No one really moderates me except of the two admins, who just express their opinion about my work and the other moderators' work as well.
PyroTrooper91AutoBot rules!! Why one time I was about to ban someone and he came in and whacked me up side the head.... The entire time saying "EXTERMINATE!! EXTERMINATE!!" lol. Not really.. We let Taffey make the ultimate calls on how to run the site, but in fact he agrees wholeheartedly with us.. so we are really on the same page on most, if not all issues that come up. Those times we are not quite sure and need a 2nd opinion, we actually discuss those things at great length with each other before finally rendering a decision.
Jwwphotos
Well obviously we have the admins who are the big big boys, however, we all tend to ask before we do something, unless its something very minor which wouldn't need to be asked in the general chat section, say a spambot, just report the member (for a admin to ban) and then prevent them from having the right to post and you're all good!
The Sexy Sackman
Well... Yes and no. Obviously there is no special charge for someone to keep track of mod's decisions, but naturally every other mod knows what's going on in the site, and regarding big decisions such as banning somebody, the whole team needs to agree before proceeding. You can say we moderate each other being moderators.

Yugnar
The Administrators and other Moderators. We're all pretty much mature and know how to behave, it's why we were given the moderator status after all, but sometimes if one of us steps out of line then another mod or an admin will be like, "hey, you can't do that," or "you shouldn't do this." And sometimes disciplinary actions have to be taken against the moderator. It's happened.
Xerorogue
We are moderated by each other, the community and the Admins.
Lady_Luck_777

7. What would a typical day of being a moderator be like?

Let's see: Login, check my messages, explain to someone just WHY we have the QPQ rule, check for new posts, merge the double post, delete the spambot posts, tag the spambots as "spammers" so that particular one can't post again, hang out a bit, and then visit with people.
Xerorogue
This is my typical day-This does not include my "outside" LBPC stuff.
Things I do:

Check all reported posts
Check all Staff discussions
Check all new member profiles

Research possible multiple accounts
Send pm's to possible multiple accounts
Ban bots

Delete advertising vms, signatures
Delete bot blogs, threads and posts
View all new content- 8 areas
Warn, infract, edit, report when needed on all things viewed

Answer questions
Assist members requests
Research for answers if I don't know off hand.

Merge, move, delete, answer, edit threads
Check and approve/disapprove all auto moderated items. (7 different areas)
Post banners
Correct oversites and problems.

Encourage new people to join LBPC.
Play levels, test levels, support creators.
Try and make sure the Site rules are followed and the Site is family friendly for everyone.
Any additional things that come up.
Lady_Luck_777
Read, Critic, (Top or Flop).
jhonsiak
Just checking everything round the forum, its surprising how quite it can be, then it goes into manic mode at anytime! I always love when I can be helpful to a member and hope that they feel appreciated when I do help them!
The Sexy Sackman
Hahahahahaha well... It depends. Being a mod involves a lot of things. In the best of the cases, you just need to take a quick look at every post in the last 24 hours. everyday just to see that pandemonium isn't starting somewhere. Once you get through the daily routine there is ALWAYS one thing or another which needs to be checked. What will our next contest be, ideas for it, grammar and spelling corrections in official posts, maybe our next evil plan to try to convince StevenI of our crazy contest ideas. In the end you are pretty much exhausted. Then you go to your real, alternate and boring life.. You know, being Batman or so.
Yugnar
Typical days are pretty quiet, at least for me. I pop in, read the latest threads, check in with the topics the moderators call out, that's about it. It's fairly rare to have to actually ban someone or infract people. Our site is pretty well behaved all around.
Morgana25
A typical day of a moderator is like cleaning a house! I check the activity feed, private messages and so on. I'm also trying to not forget to see any posts and then fixing up double posts, deleting unnecessary threads and so it goes on everyday! Quite a 'painful' work, I would say, but for me it's yet enjoyable!
PyroTrooper91Well after my sauna and bath and my breakfast is served to me on the veranda in my palatial moderator palace... lol

I dunno.. most days, I just look around and see what is going on. React to any reported issues, or questions from other moderators. See if there are any interesting topics to post on.. just usual stuff. Then if I see anything a bit out of line I deal with it or report a thread to be watched etc..
Jwwphotos

8. What are the challenges of being a moderator? May I ask what was your hardest moderating situation to take action on?

Banning someone is the hardest for me. I've had to do it a few times and it breaks my heart to do it. I'm a "can't we all just get along?" kind of person so having someone go as far as needing a ban is pretty sad. It's hard to be the "bad guy" for some moderators, myself included. I just try and remember I'm here to make sure everyone can join in the conversation in a safe way and if that requires stern talk and action then that's what we have to do.
Morgana25
The challenges of being a moderator are many, I can say. Being a moderator isn't an easy job at all as you have to keep track of all the things going on the site. And as activity grows, there is more activity to the forum, thus more posts. So each day, it's a pain to check so many posts. But hey, I like this job! xD My hardest moderating situation... umm... when I have to stop an argument, I guess. Although, this isn't that hard situation but I assume the hardest for me so far.
PyroTrooper91Burying all the bodies...

No no, not really. lol

I guess the biggest challenge is when you are taken to task by someone that doesn't know you at all or assumes they know you. I guess it is the same for those we mod that we don't know them, but we simply have our rules and I try my best to be nice about it. There have been some that push all the buttons or start screaming at you via PM's or out in the forum which makes it a bit difficult.

What is sad is if it is a really good thread and it gets derailed badly, which is why I usually ask any complaints to send them to us via PM.

However, my daily challenge is I work every day and this site is blocked by my work. Game forum.. imagine that!? So the only way I can access it is on my iPhone or when I finally get to come home.
Jwwphotos
The last contest, as a peace maker, I tried to keep everyone calm after a certain member when into a full on rage after a mod was a runner up, which was well deserved! However he took none of it, so I decided to lock the thread, to which then I was accused of trying to hide the truth, to which he made another thread, which i know really annoyed some mods and admins, but I tried to keep level headed, and we all kept calm, which was certainly needed, and one again I stood up to lock the thread, to which I had a message next day from the member with lots of F this and F that, which i took on the chin and tried to calm him down, but you can never keep everyone happy, and it is unfortunate that we lost said member, but I did try my hardest!!!
The Sexy Sackman
Some of the challenges a mod faces are:

Time involved to devote to the site.
Getting involved in situations but not overly involved (unless it becomes necessary).
Developing a thick skin.
Learning to not take things personally even if they are.
Disarming potentially volatile situations.
Being diplomatic.
Keeping your personal opinions separate from your mod duties.

I think the hardest situation is when there is a dispute and someone becomes aggressive and refuses to see any other view of the situation, continuing to escalate it until action becomes necessary.

Lady_Luck_777
Dealing with the occasional griper who doesn't feel his/her thread should of been locked. Deleting tons of spambot posts. The hardest situation was the above one I mentioned. At the time, I was a new moderator and we had the ability to ban people. I wasn't sure of what to do. I was the only mod here and knew to lock and soft delete the thread then I gave temp bans but still wasn't sure if I should do permanent bans or what.
Xerorogue

9. Is there anything else interesting about being a moderator you will like to add?

It's interesting to be able to see how people have changed over time in their relationships with other members and their behavior on site. A lot of our members have been on the site from the beginning and have grown up and grown as people on LBPC.
Morgana25
Hmmm... Well, for everyone out there believing being a mod at a site is just a matter of clicking at the "spam", "erase" and "ban" buttons at your will, you're wrong. You need a really big determination to be part of the family of moderators in whatever site you are one. You need to develop a sense of collaboration, and more importantly, you need to like what you do. An experience I had as a mod in LBF can prove just that:
Once there was this guy who won an small 20USD PSN card contest at our site, but the guy was Mexican. How on Earth would the guy who took care of the prices be able to buy a Mexican PSN card? Luckily I live in Mexico so I had to rush to the nearest store I had available to buy this guy his price, and return in a couple of hours to deliver it on time. Seriously guys. I often believed in mods as guys who just had luck and got more power than "average" members just for being friends with somebody. But it goes beyond that, and I believe everyone should appreciate the work of these guys in every website. Only when the full admin-mod-spotlighter team works together as one can a website become bigger, and eventually gain recognition as LBF did.
Yugnar
Nah, just that it is a lot of time consuming work and I wish that people would understand that one, we do NOT work for Media Molecule. We are a fansite and two, we don't get paid for this. We VOLUNTEER a lot of our own personal time to help keep the sites going.
Xerorogue
Nothing really. WE ARE THE BEST!!!
jhonsiakI do like the color blue. So it is fun having my name shown that way.
JwwphotosJust that the mods are regular people who have feelings and lives outside LBP also. We do this because we love the site and the game.

So I put a little bit of Mod trivia together:

Some have a little bit of guessing since they became inactive before "retiring."

There have been 27 Mods since LBPC was formed.
lbp founded the site in 2007.
Very first post on LPC-
https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=1-Join-the-LittleBigPlanet-Forums-for-a-Chance-to-Win-LittleBigPlanet

3 of the past mods went on to become Admins.

14 where mods for between 1 month and 11 months.
9 where mods for 1 year to 1 year 9 months. (one is current Admin)
2 have been/ or are mods for 2+ years
2 have been/ or are mods for 3+ years (one is current Admin)

Lady_Luck_777
Nope, not really. There's nothing else I would like to add as a moderator. I have no complaints at all!
PyroTrooper91
I think that sometimes members don't realize that we do this, out of our free time, contest judging, contest planning, promotions, we're all contributing towards all these things, and when we have members getting annoyed with us because they feel they've been hard done by, and then kick off, it really does annoy me!

I would just like to say that I love LittleBigNetwork, its the only forum I am signed up to (I did sign up to another site which has died now) but its an honour to be a mod here, and everyone is always nice and I couldn't ask for any better members!!

The Sexy Sackman

One big thank you to everyone who participated and a big thank you from the LittleBigPlanet Community for keeping our LittlePlanet fan-sites a safe place to be!

Hm... CC was a mod for less than a month as I'm pretty sure he was already an admin when I signed up less than a month after him... So unless by "mod", you mean "mod + Admin" (As in, CC was a staff member for more than 3 years", I am confused. But that's probably what you mean. Though it would be hard to imagine it was less than 2 years ago Taffey was made a mod. That means it would have been slightly over two years ago CC gave warlord adminship. Which means I'm getting old ;-;

Anyway, nice interview. Shame no jww or chaz, and I would have thought planetarium would be on there too (Maybe, I really don't keep up with LBP going ons, lol) but still, a nice interview

I was curious and just logged onto Planetarium to find I was the only member online. It crashed and burned apparently.

This was a very nice interview. It is really sad to think of the community and how it is dying. I'm trying to convince myself that it isn't, but everybody from my era has already moved on.

Yes Rock, CC was a mod and then Admin and he is one of the two that have been in the mod or Admin position for 3 or more years.
CC gave Admin to War July 2012
Taffey became a mod in July 2012 so it's been less then 2 years.
War gave Admin to Taffey in Nov. 2012

Hope that clears it up a little more for you.

I'm sure hyper could edit the op to include jw and chaz and anyone from planetarium if he gets their answers to the questions.

Yes! If you know any moderator from a LBP Fan-site that would like to be in the interview, let me know and I can send them the questions!

Ok, I was just a bit confused since I at first thought that you meant only as a mod, but then I realized you meant more as staff in general, but decided to post it anyway. Oh well, still, nice interview 2014-03-17 23:38:00

Sorry, yes I should have said Staff.
Also I'd like to add a BIG Thanks to hyper for the interview. It's nice to see how other mods view their positions as mods.
Nice job.

I think the mods have been doing a fine job. I may be one of the more quieter creators, but I have spent a good portion of my life on these forums and LBP, and its been a great time, so its awesome you guys would stick around and wade through some of the annoyances that can come with moderation. I can't really imagine LBP without this site to be honest, as good as LBPnetwork is, this is where most LBP related activity happens.2014-03-18 01:16:00

What Rpg Maker said.

Seriously, thank you mods for managing to keep the forums stable without being total prudes either. (Not to say we should be posting a bunch of innapropriate content) Great job doing this all btw, hyper! Very nice idea, and factoring in the other fansites was very smart. Sometimes it can feel like the LBP community is disjointed, spread about different fansites and whatnot (with forum-specific pins even). So seeing something that brings the mods from here and LBN/LBF is nice.

Not to worry everyone... I just sent mine in. I completely forgot about it and really want to thank Hyper for the opportunity as well as to go ahead and include me in the OP.

Means quite a bit for folks to be so nice!

Wow Hyper, first managing that huge Spotlight episode in every category (LBP2-VITA-Karting); then this!!! How do you keep up this rythm?! You seem to be half of the community's overall activity! You rock!!! Congrats :arg:2014-03-18 04:47:00

Haha, yes i admit do seem a bit active. My tip is to sort out a schedule with high priority first (real life) and then the hobbies. I have been prepping this interview for a week, I couldn't get to finish it due to university stuff to do, but I found the time and I am really happy everyone enjoys the interview with the mods, they make LBP fan-sites a better place!

Interesting insight into the world of moderators.
I can't emphasize enough how much unpaid time and effort these folk put into keeping all the fansites running, thus providing fun friendly online places for folk to hangout, chat, make friends, find great levels to play, events to enter, tech info etc.
Only on very, very rare occasions have I observed modertors acting below the expected standard of integrity.
Most of the time these selfless individuals are the janitors, peacekeepers, problem fixers....don't be shy about dropping them a friendly greeting on their profiles.

If you would like to be a volunteer or mod let your actions and conduct speak for itself...those who actively seek mod powers are usually those who should never be given them.

Also please don't confuse these hard working, friendly, efficient, conscientious folks with those "professional SONY" LBP moderators....two entirely different species.

I'm going to push this thread up for a reason.

These past days the moderators and admin have worked their bottoms off responding to countless DM's, replying and taking action on nessesary scenarios, going through hundreds of newly registered user to make sure they are verified, and so much more.

I know for sure, Jww has been on here just about all day and still has a lot on his plate, so I wanted to give him and the gang on LBPC a big thank you!

Also I encourage you guys to check out this interview with moderators from across all fan-sites, they really deserve it!

Good idea Hyper, both the mods and our admin really do not get enough recognition for their work.

Sorry for bothering you lot with countless messages and questioning over the years... love y'all <3
