Pokemon Adventure Forum-RPG Signup!

Welcome all LBPC Pokemon and forum RPG fans.

Here is where you can sign up for the game. Signup technically has no time limit, Long as the game is still running we can always add new players if need be. However you still will need to signup here first before you can become a official player in the RPG. You will also need to be officially added as a player by the “RPG’s Manager” to be a official player.

The actual RPG topic where we all will play the game itself will be started sometime next week.

Here’s the basic info below of what the RPG will be like.

#1: It’s a Pokemon forum role playing game.

#2: It’s a grand adventure story. Little similar to the “Pokemon mystery dungeon” games where players play as Pokemon in a adventure. In this forum RPG players will be able to band together into teams or can even somewhat adventure solo while still in the same world and story of course. Players can help others. Players can be a hero or villain or anything else they wish. But there will be a main goal/mission for the RPG which all the players will try to complete… Exact details to come next week.

#3: It’s a player story turned base game. Each player take turns to write the next part of the story. A single story post shouldn’t be super long as the different players should be given the chance to react to the different moments within the story. 1 player can’t get 2 turns in a row unless they need to change their last story post. And in that case their last post must be deleted before they can add their new story post and tell why it was needed. Also to prevent multiple people from trying to write the same story segment at once, Each player must declare their turns ahead of time and only 1 turn when doing so. If there is a conflict of who’s turn gets to go next. The “RPG’s Manager” gets to decide. Or the players can hold a vote event to decide.

#4: It sometimes will be a suggestion turn base game. There will be moments in the story where we will hold a vote event for what will happen next in the story. Story vote suggestions can be given by the official players and even the none players. However it’s up to the official players to agree on suggestions if any. Any voting event has a 24-hour time limit. Afterwards whatever story suggestion has the most votes is the winner and must be worked into the story next whenever possible. Also if it ends up a tie or there’s no real conclusion. Any official player can decide and choose what happens next after that point.

#5: Players will create and play as a Pokemon character of their choice. But it can’t be a fake made-up race of Pokemon. They will have to choose from the real list of current Pokemon. But the exact appearance and or outfits of the character is up to them. So for example if they want their Pokemon to be a abnormal color and wearing a top-hat, ETC. That is totally fine of course.

The full rule list for the RPG will come next week. But a basic rule all players will be expected to follow is to respect each other’s characters and story segment choices. Example is players should not kill off each other just because they want to or any such nonsense. There’s only 2 ways a persona character or a character owned by another player can be gotten rid of. #1: When a player wants to quit they can choose what they want to happen to their left behind characters, And if they don’t care, They can leave it up to the other players to decide. #2: Otherwise the only other way is to hold a story vote event. Also as a side note. If the “RPG Manager” disagrees in the case of it happening, It will get canceled.

There is no limit. So everyone can pick the same rare Pokemon if they wanted to. However it's advised to just pick whatever Pokemon you like the best. Because picking a powerful Pokemon won't actually make you much more powerful. Think of RPG games like Disgaea where you start off as level 1 regardless of who you are in the story. By the way, great idea to keep sign-ups open throughout. The game definitely feels different than what LBPC has been used to in recent years, so maybe some people won't be inclined to join in until see how things start to progress for us, plus it could work in great ways for the story, encountering new creatures along the way.

Needing to quit shouldn't be a big deal either, and instead of creating plot holes, it simply adds to the tension of the story. Basically, it's a very interesting approach that I could definitely see benefitting this game.		2014-03-13 00:46:00

#1: I'm still deciding how I will enter. As a normal player or as something else. I would like to join the fun obviously. And If I do join, It will still be in a overall fair enough way. I do want to keep it fun for everyone of course. *mew

#2: If you are asking about when will the topic start? For now all I can say is sometime next week. As I want to make sure everything is ready first before I start it up. Or If you asking what will the story be exactly about? Then I'm still deciding the exact details. I want it to be simple yet fun for everyone.

You all still have a week or so to think about what you want yo main Pokemon to be, So don't worry to much.

Aww yiss...

I am going to join as my second favourite psychic-type Pokemon, since Wobbuffet doesn't exactly make for interesting adventures. Trust me, I've tried to make a Wobbuffet-centered Pok?mon fan fiction. It just doesn't woooooooork.

I indeed know who Kirlia is, Since technically Gardevoir is my absolute all time favorite Pokemon... Which I keep a huge fan art folder of on my PC. I err mean yeah. I know who that Pokemon is.

Well Dragonvarsity messaged me saying he needs to drop out for now.

Honestly with only a few players left I'm not feeling to encouraged to keep it going right now. This game was made with at least 4 active players in mind. It just doesn't work well with only 2 or 3. So i think I'll put the RPG on hiatus until more people sign up for the game.... Ohwell. :/ *?mew		2014-04-08 19:42:00
