The people have mysteriously disappeared and it's your quest to find out why. The story is set in the future, so you have the ability to transform ruins into what they looked like in their prime. The city comes to life in front of your eyes as you find clues to what happened to the people. Gameplay The main part of the gameplay is to collect all of the Rubies. To transform the ruins, you need a certain number of Rubies to progress. http://i8.lbp.me/img/ft/2283e2462929e060992d79152289cc4fc0a91ce0.jpg http://ic.lbp.me/img/ft/a6c849093a1fc39da359fc7e62da6effaa6935b3.jpg http://i6.lbp.me/img/ft/af63dbfa4d0b7ade03143a2feb3b6fdd23a65b5c.jpg Special thanks to Biggischnupsi, Avundcv, and CuriousSack. http://lbp.me/v/qqz2k0h | 2014-03-08 22:28:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |

This is a fantastic story! It was like reading a science fiction story and playing a game at the same time! Great! I like the gameplay and the awesome visuals! And thisis the firs level where I listened to "starway to heaven" while mastering the adventure Excellent!!! | 2014-03-09 18:59:00 Author: avundcv Posts: 2526 |
Awesome avundcv! Thanks for the great review. I can listen to stairway to heaven hundreds of times and still love it... which I did because of all the testing lol. I wrote down the person that made the lbp song, but I completely forgot to include his name in credits. I'll do that. To let everybody know, avundcv made the awesome frozen river in the foreground of my game | 2014-03-09 20:39:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |
A great story, and great storytelling! The gameplay ideas are brilliant, and all the time I wanted to know how the story goes on! Great work, dear Smurfy! | 2014-03-10 13:38:00 Author: Schnupsi Posts: 506 |
Thanks Schnupsi! I've slowly been making improvements over the last couple days. Trying to make things easier. Improving visuals | 2014-03-11 02:42:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |

Hi Smurfy, applause, this has been great! Fantastic story and amazing visuals, yeah! Now I know the answer to Ron Weasleys question; "Follow the spiders, why can't it be follow the butterflies?" I wish you luck for the contest with this awesome entry! Many greetings, Jürgen | 2014-03-12 10:33:00 Author: CuriousSack Posts: 3981 |
Yay, thanks for playing! And testing it when I was making it! Butterflies are a lot less intimidating than spiders I'm glad the butterflies were not the villain. I admit I do not like spiders | 2014-03-12 15:48:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |
It all looks very good and it certainly seems like it should be played, but I have so many levels in my queue I just can't--, oh, it's made by GreenSmurfy. It's in my queue. | 2014-03-12 17:17:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |
Lol thanks FreeAim It doesn't have a spooky intro like Center of the Earth Amusement Park, but if you get to the ending it is pretty haunting. | 2014-03-12 20:55:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |
Apparently I hadn't put it into my queue, or I had accidentally removed it. It's there now. | 2014-03-20 23:06:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |
Okaaaay. That was maybe just a little bit overdue, but I finally played through this level. Straight to the point, the level is good. The story feels only so much of an excuse to have a unique visual style. Honestly, there is little that nobody has seen before here, but that feels like something that would pretty much happen, no matter what kind of level one makes. There are only so many possibilities for different levels in this game, so saying that something doesn't feel particularly unique in concept isn't actually fair, though it still is a sad fact, even here. However, this only stands in concept, because execution-wise this level is quite unlike anything I have ever played. To put it bluntly, this level is weird, built on a foundation of weirder. There are jungles, gems, futuristic cities with sentinel-like guardian robots, clocks a'la Big Ben and several other odd things smashed together to create something that feels more unique than it actually is, but it also feels kind of convoluted. That seems like that's the case with the entire level, really. It's just a bit too much on every level. There are way too many different gameplay elements smashed together, so the level lacks focus, there is too much story in a level where the story is really the least interesting part, there are too many elements and themes mashed together in the visual-department and there are way too many different sounds playing on top of the custom songs, so nothing gets the chance to stand out, risking the memorability in the level as a whole. There is nothing wrong with having a little bit room to breathe. Sometimes less is more and this is a great case of this being the exact case. 6/10 for me, but as I always say, these reviews are much more opinion based than based on something which I consider to be the objective reality. | 2014-04-05 14:56:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |
Thanks FreeAim Anybody that plays my game is awesome in my book. And you have played a lot of my games...so you are super awesome Not sure I agree with my level having too many gameplay elements. I tried focusing on collecting rubies and transforming buildings. To get the rubies you have to do basic platforming. It doesn't really deviate too much from that. I agree that there is too much of visuals and story. That's kind of my style though. Most of my games have a lot story and an overload of visuals. With the caption option for the talking mouth tool, it let me write more story/dialogue than I normally can. I came up with the story way before I started this level. I took an archaeology class and it was mostly looking at the clues and coming up with the most logical explanation. I thought it would be cool to actually see the past with your own eyes without coming up with theories. As always, thanks a lot for playing my games. Really awesome that you do | 2014-04-06 23:03:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |

I'm a bit late to the party, but I just got around to playing this yesterday. http://ib.lbp.me/img/ft/e9bcb21b5c469fb63ff11f1c1a9c597d5eaa7782.jpg I liked it, but I think the concept was better than the execution. I liked how the architecture was dynamic, and by collecting gems you could alter its appearance and function, but the process to do so was very linear. It started out all right, I mean a fountain requiring one gem is a good tutorial, but past that I would have liked more free-roaming exploration. Once it started getting into the story I was getting excited about potentially seeing an evil, killer butterfly. Without wishing to spoil anything, I was a bit disappointed with the twist ending. It's like your mom gets you hyped up for a super amazing breakfast, and then you come downstairs and its just pancakes. Yes, they're delicious pancakes, but I was getting excited over the prospect of french toast and omlettes. (And you only get to see the creature for like 2 seconds.) The washed out lighting was good for the post-disaster setting, but the contrast between that and the 'cleaned up' lighting wasn't as jarring as I thought it could have been. As one final note, I thought that alot of the architecture was tremendously ambiguous in shape to the point where it didn't really make much sense for it to be a place where people once lived. It was still an enjoyable level, but sadly no monster butterflies. | 2014-07-01 20:34:00 Author: Kato Posts: 732 |
Thanks very much Kato Other people have said they thought it was too linear and I agree. The original idea for the level was meant to be completely open without any tutorials. As I made it, it just came together as being very linear. Not sure why that is. I think I just had a hard time making it open. I definitely agree it would have been better non linear. I like the ending that I have, but that also was supposed to be different. For the longest time I was going to have the huge butterfly boss. I thought that would be really awesome. However, this level was for a contest and I ran out of time. I remember your levels had amazing bosses. You probably would have been able to make an amazing butterfly boss battle compared to me I wish a professional company would make a game like this. It's something I would really like to play with the concept I first had in mind. It just took too much time to make the buildings change. After I made the building, one small change and the building wouldn't work. Too much of a pain to create lol. | 2014-07-08 05:47:00 Author: Greensmurfy Posts: 300 |
