(Play the level a second time for night mode) Glide through the floating city with your fancy capes in this oriental-themed platformer! There are a lot of secret bubbles to collect as well! Huge thanks to @actio1_618 and @Lego1112 for help and advice. Those heavenly sounds belong to @BlackPoppyAudio

I had an excellent time running, jumping, bouncing and gliding around this gem of level. I really enjoyed the open feel and even my long cape glides to a gassy death below. In fact, my only criticism of the level is the gas boundaries that kill you if you try to escape the level. They just don’t fit with the rest of the level aesthetics. One of my favorite parts about this level is hunting down the fat bubbles which were placed nicely throughout. I’m also stealing your idea where when you play it second time, the day changes to night. This is such a simple, but awesome thing! Thanks for making this.2014-03-11 21:18:00

Thanks! I just wanna say that I had gas boundaries because the level is supposed to be way up in the sky. So if you fall out of it, it's clear that you will die a horrible death from that height (mwahaha). The gas being close to the level is to save time for the player, so they don't have to fall for a long while every time they die. What do you suggest? The gas to be invisible?

The gas is an ok solution, I just didn’t like how it looked when compared to the rest of the beautiful level. The gas is in your level is just a small strip and you can see the other side and in one section I glided too, I could see both a skinny horizontal and vertical gas strip at a right angle. Perhaps if the strips of gas had an explanation like it was pollution coming out of pipes then it would be more believable. However, that gas material is tricky and might not look so good that way. In this case, I think the best solution would have been to make some clouds or other atmosphere and place them in front of the gas. The player would then fall behind the clouds/fog/atmosphere and die a horrible death and we would still see a beautiful set. By hiding the gas, you could also set up a trigger to make the sack scream right before they die and further add to the effect. If it were me, I would have also added a secret little area down below where you could navigate a perfect glide too and find a million point bonus!

Overall, this gas thing is only one small thing out of the whole that bothered me, so job well done! Most likely, most people could care less or never even see it, but I saw it a lot because I went exploring…

I see what you're saying, you've convinced me I'll be sure to fix that detail later. Thank you for your suggestion.2014-03-13 13:55:00
