PlayStation+ saving the wrong LBP profile?
Archive: 5 posts
I'm a PlayStation+ member and I've recently noticed that whenever I play LBP2 PlayStation+ is supposed to save your latest profile data online, but instead it saves my LBP1 profile data. I'm just wondering if it just me that has this problem, or it's something that's affecting other players. Even if I turn off the automatic uploading of LBP1 data via XMB, it still saves the LBP1 profile whenever I play LBP2. | 2014-03-07 08:59:00 Author: fluxlasers Posts: 182 |
Do you definitely have any LBP2 save data? A few years ago (with cornish yarg?) they changed it so your profile is actually under game data instead of save data. You need to manually back up your profile from the start menu in-game to create the actual save data, which you can upload. | 2014-03-07 09:13:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
If I go to LBP2 on the XMB and turn the automatic uploading off, then back on again it saves my LBP2 profile along with the other profile data from games I've played that day. So, it knows where to find the profile data and saves it online correctly when I manually turn it off then back on. | 2014-03-07 18:40:00 Author: fluxlasers Posts: 182 |
So are you exporting your save from the start menu or not? AFAIK if you want it to be automatically backed up every time you play, you need to manually create a savegame for your profile every time you play. | 2014-03-07 18:50:00 Author: ARD Posts: 4291 |
AFAIK if you want it to be automatically backed up every time you play, you need to manually create a savegame for your profile every time you play. Ahhh, I see. I thought it might be using the same data that's used by the game to start the game exactly as you left it. It's still strange that it keeps uploading my LBP1 profile every time I play LBP2. | 2014-03-07 19:25:00 Author: fluxlasers Posts: 182 |
