Dream Job/ Planned career

Yo, thought this would be interesting. I mean it's no "I suck at showers" but hey, So what's your dream job, or the job you're planning to get to at the moment and why? <3 | 2014-02-07 19:55:00 Author: flamingemu Posts: 1872 |
As a 15 year old idiot, why does high school force me to decide upon the rest of my life right now? I mean that stuff requires more maturity than drinking or smoking does. My dream job is to make music at home and sell it for myself somehow. Optimism. | 2014-02-07 20:43:00 Author: Kaboosh99 Posts: 359 |

First it was mechanic, then it was graphic designer, now it's leaning towards mechanical engineering. Though if I'm being completely honest, my dream would be to not have a job or career at all. It may sound corny but I'd much rather have a life, one that doesn't require a lot of money and be rich in time instead. Time to spend researching and developing the things I love and the problems I see; more sustainable ways of living, methods of self-sufficiency, new fuels and energy, city design, transportation methods and so on. The thought of having or even being a boss is quite off putting for me. Is mad inventor a valid career option yet? | 2014-02-07 21:49:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |

So anyone got any legit answers? Fine. Somewhere in entertainment. Anywhere from programing games to working on films. I'd say my dream job would be to work at somewhere like Rooster Teeth. | 2014-02-10 22:09:00 Author: ConverseFox Posts: 2333 |
Artist/Artisan/Craftsman from painting and technical drawing to making trinkets. Programmer ideally working with embedded systems, robotics or firmware since I'm more a hardware person. This is really just an extension of craftsmanship in my head. System administrator not hot on all the networking stuff right now, but it's something I'm interested in pursuing. Mechanic probably too weak to handle heavy parts/tools all day, but I can certainly talk ****. Electrical engineer while I'm happy to build and test circuits, I'm also happy being a solder ***** and doing quality control stuff. I did a lot of this in my old job anyway. Maybe 'technician' is a more accurate job title for this stuff. Librarian working in a manuscript department and cataloguing stuff would be ideal. Even better if I got to handle material from the narrow historical periods I'm interested in. Truck driver I would probably get eaten alive, though. Translator mostly of spiritual and magical texts in dead languages. I was really into this in my late teens. Train driver I like trains. Priest mostly concerned with banishing spirits and other practical things, better served by magicians and cunning folk than clergy. Writer/journalist particularly if it's some backpage satirical column where I can write what I want. I was brought up on this kind of humour as a kid but it's dead on TV now. Other than that I like to write historical/fantasy stuff. Chauffeur driving luxury vehicles, ideally old enough to be mechanically interesting to maintain/operate. Ship crew on an oil tanker or something, but I'm probably too weak. I'd also like to work on an oil rig but again, probably too delicate to last long. Groundskeeping I've done a bit of this anyway on a couple of estates. It should be a pretty place to work away from any main roads, rail lines or flight paths. Like a golf course. | 2014-02-21 15:53:00 Author: Ayneh Posts: 2454 |

I've often thought working at a botanical garden would be nice, if it wasn't such a long drive away it would be a serious contender. | 2014-02-21 23:13:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
I hate people and I'm shy and lazy. So I'd never survive in a normal job setting. I'm trying to learn how to make games/apps...so I can work from home and make whatever I want and hopefully people will pay for it.. | 2014-02-21 23:41:00 Author: AmazingKittyCat Posts: 204 |
Even though I appreciate the business where I work, I still feel that the business / data bank sector is not my thing. I still hope to get into the gaming industry some day. Don't be surprised if you see something from myself in the coming years. | 2014-02-22 01:33:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
I'm only 16, but I am one of few of my friends that actually know what they want to do- and have known since I was about 10 or so- My planned career is to become and Oncologist ( A doctor that specializes in Oncology... The study of cancer and such)- and hopefully become a consultant- However any field in Medicine interests me so that might change but I am pretty sure that's what I would like to specialize in. | 2014-02-22 11:44:00 Author: Awesome_Guy Posts: 167 |
