A fencing game inspired by Nidhogg
Archive: 2 posts
Hey guys! A new level I'm working on is a fencing game inspired by Nidhogg! If you don't know what Nidhogg is, its a steam game where two fencers fight to death to be rewarded by getting eaten by the mythical and holy Nidhogg. Check out the game here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/94400/ The fencing game I'm making is still a battle to the death but its physics based. Heres a timelapse of the creation of the fencers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_gs9NkD09o The goal of the game is to knock the helmet of your opponent and kill them before they do the same to you. I changed the controls since this video so you move around with L3, move your sword with R3, and thrust your arm with R1. You can knock your enemy off balance by stabbing their legs and torso making it easier reach over their sword for a fatal hit! I'm hoping to have this level published soon with a secret gamemode like I did with Sumotori Dreams. One of the problems I have to solve is making a 4 player mode. I think I'll just make a tournament mode, but it all depends on how it works and if its fun to play. Thanks for reading and feel free to comment and share your thoughts on this project! What do you think should be added? | 2014-02-02 14:14:00 Author: BLAHBLAH1000 Posts: 72 |
I think that adding crouching would add a defensive side to the game, just like it is in nidhogg, it would also enhance the actual fencing expirience, cool time lapse btw | 2014-02-02 17:19:00 Author: amiel445566 Posts: 664 |
