Welcome one and all. Grab a drink, pull up a chair and tuck into the best offerings from the Level Showcases over the past fortnight. Congratulations to cakito123 on getting a spotlight in both the PS3 and Vita sections! Also a huge thanks to all the creators featured for keeping the LBP flame alive! <3

http://id.lbp.me/img/bl/cdd15136d9e6553b2bcf0a11691c655a1517fc7a.pngWinter Silence [Platformer]se-mi92A winter themed platformer. <<medium-hard>> 1-4 players, 1 for best cam. I hope you enjoy! Music by Buddydestruction and Missi_cat.
We are deep in the season of Winter and there is no better way to experience what the season brings to us other than one awesome winter-fested level! This level gives me the chills ( no pun intended) with falling icicles and frozen spikes everywhere with some really fun gameplay. Wintery Silence packs quality (really awesome design that constantly reminds me of the movie Frozen for some reason) and quantity (various amount of gameplay and well lengthened level) in this wonderful, challenging platformer. If you were going to build an ice palace wallpaper might not seem the obvious interior design choice but that just shows how little I know. Se-mi has created a level full of wintery beauty, where chintz, crystals and stained glass are married perfectly with the snowy outside world. This palace it’s not without its dangers, however. The snow and ice have invaded and everywhere you turn lethal icicles sprout from the ground or drop on your unsuspecting head. You’ll meet some clever obstacles on your journey too. Ingenious telescoping platforms catapult you in the air or squish you mercilessly, as a cuckoo (?!) mocks from offstage. But just breathe deep and take in the gorgeous lighting and calming music. This is such a beautifully polished and accomplished level. The whole thing has a lovely otherworldly feel, plenty of challenge to keep you on your toes and ends with a chocolate-box pretty snow scene…which reminds me. Hidden deep in the level is a secret dear to any chocoholic’s heart. Could this level get any better, lol!?

http://i7.lbp.me/img/bl/c37418cb78fb711757ca20b9abdb1f044dafd947.pngThe Cardboard BoyOmieRHe calls himself "The Evil Cube" lonely and bored. No sackthing has ever completed his creation, until now? This time "The Evil Cube" captured the wrong victim, his name is: The Cardboard Boy. NOTE: 1 player only, other sackthings will have to be satisfied to be audience, and because "The Evil Cube" was too excited creating, with more sackthings it might cause a really bad lag.
Omier is one of my favorite creators with an amazing abstract art-style that always makes me fall in love with his work. Now with this fantastic piece out for the community to experience, they are going to love the very puzzle-ly design this platformer has to offer along with having the control of slowing down time to progress in this platformer. Obstacles disappear and appear and it's up to you to time your jumps and special time power so you can make it to the end. Show that robot that is trapping you what you're made of! Oooh, a feast for both the eyes AND the thumbs! Omier has a great unique style that you just gotta love. In this platformer you'll experience joy and pain, lots of pain if you're a player like me. You have the ability to slow things down in this strange little world and that's a good thing because platforms and obstacles are moving at super sonic speeds. The creator of this maddening world does not want you to succeed and with each obstacle you complete, he gets madder and madder. Enjoy this one guys. The name OmieR is pretty much synonymous with style and this elegant and striking level has lashings of it. You’re in a floating world of abstract cubes, evilly engineered by the Evil Cube himself to test and torture innocent sacks. Getting through this living, moving maze will require skill and strategy. Fortunately, as Cardboard Boy (not the most dashing of hero names, but hey) you have a superpower: slow motion. Just when you think there’s no way forward or things are too hectic, pressing L1 will transform the world into a muffled oasis of blue-grey calm and as if by magic helpful extra cubes appear or frantically moving parts slow down to let you through. You will still need some skill and perseverance to get to the end but you’ll have a lot of fun trying. I loved the pared back style and cleverness of this level. A very cool level with a dash of humour too – not to be missed.

This is the first community level I have played seeing the Batman, Joker, and Harley Quinn costumes put together. I got to say, this was a blast (joker laugh)! There is so much wall jumping and cape (bat man cape) game play for you to experience while being a long side of batman through the journey to get revenge on Joker! The Sackbot NPC's were fantastic and a great add to the platforming game play because you wil see them going across obstacles pulling levels and what not for you to progress. na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na BATMAAAN! I love Batman, even though he doesn't have any "real" superpowers just super gadgets. This is a really cool level that is just a blast to play through. All the new gameplay mechanics are there, the wall jump, wall slide, and the ever popular...cape. The cape is probably my favorite and Snakeowl makes great use of it here. This the perfect opportunity to don your snazzy new costumes and get your super hero on!Holy hijinks, Batman! SnakeOwl really gets into the spirit of the DC Comics pack with this level. He has taken the new wall jumping and cape gameplay and woven it into a lively, entertaining story with great NPC sackbot action and some cool decoration. It’s nicely paced, well designed and has a suitably dramatic ending. Add in a fabulous batmobile and you have a great level to have a ball in playing with friends. Oh, and Hyper actually sang that batman song to check if bio had put in enough "na"s. He hit the right amount apparently!

http://i4.lbp.me/img/bl/154a3c16db3f6fdf8287847502c25deb0679e32a.pngRockoC rocoDobbedControl a flying crocodile and avoid trees and bombs while eating all the tasty fruit! How far can you get? Click the "How to play" button in the main menu to view the controls. Based on a Newgrounds game published by Jussi Simpanen and Gavin Harrison. Best with 1 player but can support spectators. Requires a Controller that Supports Sixaxis Motion Control. - Added a Health Bar

Wowsers! This minigame gives me instant thoughts of the class game Frogger except that you are a crocodile that flies and it's different. Right when you start playing the objective is simple, use the tilt feature on your controller to control this crazy animal and avoid a whole bunch of obstacles ranging from trees and explosive bombs (yes I know if I add just the word "bombs" you can tell that it is explosive but me gusta adjectives). Make sure to grab some tasty fruit (AH I just did it again with the word tasty, help me...) along the way while preventing your health bar from depletion.Whoa! This guy never fails to amaze me with his animation work. This one here...wow. Amazing, amazing, AMAY-ZING! This has a very retro feel to it and I love it for that and for the unique and fun gameplay. You take control of a flying crocodile, well, he don't have wings but he is outfitted with a rocket. You don't control him in the conventional sense but rather you control him buy using the tilt features of the 6-axis controller. Fly along eating the edibles and avoiding the bombs and soon you'll be top of the leaderboard.Wacky ideas coupled with colorful animation almost always equals a bonified great level. Ive always been a fan of 8-bit levels and love how inventive some may get with a concept that is more then a decade old. Dobbed is a genius in the art of 8-bit and doesn't cease to stop any time soon, thankfully. Cause in his/her hands 8-bit is gold and riches is what will be produced. Well onto the actual level again... Strap a rocket to a crocodiles back and call me sally, cause this was a blast. So now get out there and avoid those sensitive bombs and angry clouds while un-avoiding those yummy fruits.

http://i2.lbp.me/img/bl/872fe98693c0dffc6f31e131ba682369cc1c5bf3.pngPS SHOOOOTERAdel221 Player -- 18 Levels -- auto save

Right when I saw that Adel published a new level I QUOOOD it up right away! No? Ok I'll just some puns next Wednesday. This shooter is a very creative one that makes you think and at the same time challenges you to do trial and error. You have limited shots, the less shots you make the more stars you will receive (if you shoot the plus sign it gives you a full star). There are four types of ammo to shoot and each resemble a button on the PS3 Controller (Square, Triangle, Circle, and Cross) and you have to hit the right target coordinated to the shape of the right controller button. At the top of that, there are so many levels to play as the goal gets harder and harder to reach as well as getting all of the stars. Don't have time to finish it all? Have no fear, the memorizer is here and it will save your progress so you can come back to finish at any time.Wow, here's another guy who always amazes me with his creations. I think this is the first time I've seen someone make good use of the new memorizer technology in LBP2. So what we have here is a cool little shooter comprised of eighteen levels for you to blast your way through. Your targets are the colors of the PS3 controller. Blue for "X" pink for the square, green for the triangle and red for the circle. Well, that sounds easy enough, doesn't it? It is, at first, but then it starts to get tricky and you really have to plan out your shots if you're to get all those stars. Enjoy. I didn't expect much when I queued this level. I thought it yet another Space Shooter with some power-ups. But I was deeply wrong! This level is absolutely amazing, fun gameplay mechanism, it was a bit too easy but some of the final levels were quite tricky. Ohh... Maybe should I explain what the level is about... Hmm. You pop right into a Controlinator and you can shoot different projectiles by pressing different buttons (Cross, Circle, Triangle and Square) You then have to hit the matching colors and when you've shot them all you'll get a score based on the star-system, and it will tell you if you did good or bad. If you did good, you can proceed to the next level. Sound confusing? No? Good! Oh I forgot to mention, there's a timer and a projectile counter which has a great influence on your score. So think before you shoot, but do it fast!

http://i5.lbp.me/img/bl/fa56f2b26e3b3ff9529db2be6e9b7c7309b6fe19.pngJurema 's Templecakito123[1 PLAYER ONLY, PLEASE] [Co-Created with @FusY-_-KaH] [Tricky/Hard] A Desertic Temple is there and Sackboy is very curious and then he enters there. Now he must find a way to get out because people say that a monster lives in there.

Whoa! (yes, I paid the royalties ) hold on to your Sack hat in this brilliant level with more than its fair share of thrills, spills and surprises. You can rely on cakito123 to come up with unique and interesting level design and here he puts his own distinctive spin on the wall jumping and temple dlc. Lured in to a temple by his own curiosity, Sackboy needs to escape but are the rumours of a strange creature living in the depths of the temple true? Well, I’ll let you find out but I can safely say that you won’t be bored for a second as cool obstacle follows cool obstacle and you hurtle up and down in a helter-skelter ride to the scoreboard. This whole series from cakito123 and FusY- _ -KaH has just been a pleasure to play and this chapter is bursting with the same coolness and creativity. Great job! You've stumbled upon a secluded temple and as usual sackboy decides to barge right in and have a look around. Probably to steal score bubbles or something. There's something lurking deep within this temple though and while sackthing is having fun wall jumping and platforming across unique obstacles, this something is getting closer. Jurema is the name of that something and she is not very pleased that some little stuffed critter is roaming her temple. Better get out, quick!Jurema, Jurema, JUREMA!!! Please leave me alone, so I may free roam your home!! This wicked worm has beef with anyone entering her temple and for good reasons! No spoilers today, sorry all, but I will go on to hopefully wetten your appetites to play this exciting platformer thru a wicked temple that is the home a very scorned Mother. Jurema, Jurema, JUREMA!!! Please gimme me five minutes more before you turn my sackchum into cotton stuff onto your temple floor, is typically what I chant to the great Worm that has made this temple her home. In all if your looking to play an exciting platformer with a great ending, then look no further cause this has what you looking for!!

Can you make it across this world with a little help from some friends. (A scarybiscuit & smartysloam collaboration.)

RAWR! I have played many silhouette levels which has many pretty colors like purple and blue and they are always the best eye candy for me. Though here you have a new approach, this level is a silhouette of a nice shade of red but that isn't what makes this Jurassic Adventure special, its the great focus of gameplay that is brought through and definitely makes this Jurassic. You will find yourself taking control of different animals bashing things and flying up in the sky throughout this platformer and those animal-friendly companions help make your adventure a great one.

In this level you'll play as Tristan, a not-so-nice-but-cool robot! You will also see The Doctor, who created Tristan! I can't tell you a lot of things in this description! Just play it!

There is nothing better than a series of a exciting and an adventurous journey. Prisioner of A Limits is where you play as a really awesome robot who is with his awesome friend and they explore a wonderful world full of platforming and static-y gameplay with reversible conveyor belts and more. While later on finding something interesting behind the story, the fantastic voice acting brings this experience to a whole new level hearing all of these robotic voices along with the dialog. Enjoy the adventure and I hope you will be excited after you reach the cliffhanger like I was.

Feel free to report them ang give your thoughts about the level. I hope you'll enjoy the level anyway. Thanks to gwaeron, rough-tea, coxy224 for feedback (a long time ago)

Slurm makes a fantastic return with an instant YES from myself when I only saw 30 seconds of the level! Adventure at its finest indeed along with a great deal of awesome puzzles using vita's touch control. You even have a journal along in your inventory so you can check out awesome entries including hints to those puzzles you are stuck on. Along with the fantastic design, this will definitely guarantee an Indiana Jones adventure so make sure to put on your thinking cap and adventure cap and head off to one of the best journeys LittleBigPlanet Vita has to offer!

Appetite Appetency

Cookie's, Donuts, and even more cookies. Imagisphere Grand Prix sweetest tracks! Who said salty can't be sweet!

CANDY, SWEETS, MY WEAKNESS. Oh how it makes it so difficulty to win first place in the second race of the Imagisphere Grand Prix without being distracted by the sugary temptation across the world of Victoria! Speaking of Victoria, she also makes a fantastic appearance coming from LittleBigPlanet 2 with 3D epic-ness of her world of tasty desserts. Try not to get a huge craving and aim to be number one and maybe a big batch of cookies await you at the finish line!

Maypole Grotto
Bobbbio_
Maypole Fields hasn't seen any action in awhile. Mummers have been yearning for the IGP to take place in its scared track. Lets see if sack boy can handle this simple cruise. Try not to get a paper cut !

Tearaway has been beautifully brought to the world of Karting with a very detailed and paper-y scenery of Maypole Grotto. The 3D creating made the race track feel so welcoming and playing a race edition and even the character from game make it into the level! From the papery foliage to the papery creatures, it really makes it difficult to focus on winning the race since the the world and feel of Tearaway will make you stare in awe.

Anyways I would love to see this spotlight and the honorable mentions published on lbp vita as a level so more people can see the awesome levels, is that possible?

Congrats on your honorable mention!

There are levels from the showcases featured in-game in the Spotlight Hubs. A Spotlight Hub is a hub full of levels that have been given a spotlight or an honorable mention for an episode.

The LBP2 Spotlight Hub for Episode 129 has been published and you can check it out here: http://lbp.me/v/qqj2cwt

There are also Spotlight Hubs for Vita, however those work differently than the hubs for LBP2. Normally, a vita Hub for the vita section of a Community Spotlight Episode is set to be out every 4 weeks.

You can check out the latest one here: http://vita.lbp.me/v/gwnsm

The hub for LBPV is designed differently than the LBP2 one and the creator did a fantastic job of making it! Though some things came up lately and there has been a delay for the LBPV hubs.

LBPVita also has a 30 level publish limit and Steven has been awesome enough to publish the hubs on his earth. To use another account, we would be needing another memory card and that path gets hectic from there. :/

The hubs will be back eventually, and when the next one comes out, all of the spotlighted levels and all of the honorable mention levels will be put together from the previous couple episodes so there will be a chock-full of amazing levels for the in-game community to check out!

Wow!
Thank you everyone for giving me 2 Spotlights!

Nothing against Hyperdude95, I really like his reviews and all, but on the vita/karting sections, he seems to be the only one who reviewed all levels in the last Spotlights. I really like him but I miss some guys like biorogue, L-I-M-I, shrpjjerfjgbjshireless, Jauw... (on vita specially)

I think this is getting a bit repetitive... Just my opinion. D:

Nothing against Hyperdude95, I really like his reviews and all, but on the vita/karting sections, he seems to be the only one who reviewed all levels in the last Spotlights. I really like him but I miss some guys like biorogue, L-I-M-I, shrpjjerfjgbjshireless, Jauw... (on vita specially)

I think this is getting a bit repetitive... Just my opinion. D:

Hey there,

Thank you for your feedback! It has been noted.

Thanks for the spotlight! And a sepcial thanks to hyperdude, as you're writing in all sections. I've found the time to play others Vita spotlights and really enjoyed them.

I would have been happy to write some reviews for the VITA section, but my terrible english prevents me to offer this help.
