Well, since this board seems to be getting quite a lot of traffic, it might be time to introduce myself as well. I'll give you a little bit of a story:

I've been many things regarding games. I started out watching my brother play C64. There I evolved into a gamer myself, and had fierce competitions with my brother, and as a perfectionist I wanted to master all games that I owned. So I got pretty good at games. Years passed, and along game the day when FPS games surfaced. Instantly hooked, I got pretty good at those, too. I was pretty deep in the FPS community, and even took part of a few bigger competitions with prizes with some success. That's probably when I hit my peak as a gamer. Around the same time, I took the job of an assistant in a national magazine, writing games reviews. I wrote the reviews for quite a few years, also delved into the realm of Ultima Online for quite some time. With the critic job, I also participated in some beta tests and press events, which was interesting.

Along with the betatesting and reading/writing gaming related stuff, I became more interested in the development of games and the creativity aspect. So I took on some level editors / modification tools of different games, and meddled a bit in that. So fare I've created a little something for FPSs, strategy games and even one platformer (Mega Man: Powered Up). My background with computers and games along with my studies in Bioinformatics also lead to me taking an IT job early last year, which evolved into a programming project for the same company. All of this gives me a pretty broad view of the gaming industry - I've been a player, a journalist, a community manager and even a programmer so far.

I probably don't have to explain how LittleBigPlanet really truly hits a chord with me. I'm honest when saying that no other game has ever been remotely as interesting as this.

There you have it - now you know a little bit about me. See you around.

Commodore64. Sweet. I still had my monitor up until a few years ago. Used it as a T.V. for years and years.

So true. So very true.
