Bioshock Infinite free for PS+ members =D

I don't know for how long this will be free, but I will say that this game is so good that it got me playing it all weekend and that is saying something, because I hate first person game mechanics. Everything looks gorgeous and exploration is fun. Also, Elizabeth is a great NPC and is a pleasure to have around. | 2014-01-27 17:05:00 Author: DreadRandal Posts: 434 |
It has been for a few weks now. It's decent, but it's a pale imitator to the original Bioshock =C | 2014-01-27 18:28:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
It has been for a few weks now. Only for the U.S., its just going up for the E.U. now. Anyway, yup, as much as I enjoyed infinite it lacked the exploration that Bioshock one and the initial demo possessed and felt far too linear. A shame because the setting was very interesting and would have been ideal for it. | 2014-01-27 18:34:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |

A shame because the setting was very interesting and would have been ideal for it. I was going to say that but then saw he's American But yeah, too many big, wide open spaces that are definite battlegrounds. My favorite part of the first two was when a big Daddy or Big Sister was chasing after me and I'd need to keep running away in order to defeat them on survivor with no Vita chambers. I remember, in bioshock 2, hiding up in the rafters of the Journey to the Surface ride and sniping down the big sister I led in there. so awesome. but Infinite misses that in favor of big open spaces with no stealthy elements >_> And the story sucks in comparison, but that would be spoilers | 2014-01-27 18:38:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
I give infinite some credit for it's story, and not just for the ending either, but 1 definitely plays with the atmosphere, overall gameplay, and extras better. Really, just the overall game, though it's ending is weaker. (Note, everything beyond a certain golfing scene were weaker in my opinion.) I see infinite as having a great beginning (seeing Colombia for the first time was wow) and ending, but the middle with it's uneccessary concepts and mechanics, simple gameplay (in comparison to 1), and recycling brought it down some. Not a whole lot for me, just some. | 2014-01-27 20:31:00 Author: xxMATEOSxx Posts: 1787 |
I already own Infinite but will probably give Metro: Last Light a go. | 2014-01-28 09:40:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |
I'm really enjoying it. Gorgeous game and compelling story. | 2014-01-29 09:32:00 Author: Morgana25 Posts: 5983 |
Don't get us wrong, as a standalone game it is fantastic but it is just missing something Bioshock one had. Basically, if you like infinite we recommend you try the first one too. | 2014-01-29 14:19:00 Author: ForgottenEnigma Posts: 1414 |

The story is great, but the gameplay overall is a bit basic. For example, where's all the enemies with tonic/plasmid/whateverthehecktheyrecalled powers? | 2014-01-29 15:05:00 Author: Ali_Star Posts: 4085 |
