What's the most decadent thing you've ever done?

I just got back home from a trip to a special kind of restaurant. Pretty much, dozens of waiters would dash around, holding long forks of various meats, and offer to cut slices for you-often two waiters at the same time. An individual cut could already make a skinny person half-full, and I was offered a cut every half minute. Not to mention, I was served mashed potatoes, pop-overs, cheese bread, and fried plantains, which were refilled like my water. By the end of the whole thing, I had eaten enough food to feed a North Korean family for the rest of the month, and I could barely stand. Of course, it didn't bother me much, for after leaving a steakhouse-buffet where I didn't even have to stand up to get food, I could sit in a car and coast home at 80 miles per hour, by the power of hot dinosaur. It was luxury to the point of being funny. So, what was the most decadent thing you've ever done? What did you do, or what has happened to you, that anybody in a third world country wouldn't expect in heaven? Tell me, tell me. | 2014-01-27 02:01:00 Author: Kalawishis Posts: 928 |
I once ate an apple while taking a bath. | 2014-01-27 13:55:00 Author: FreeAim Posts: 2462 |
Over here in Ghent there's a fast food kiosk that, despite being small and modest, is incredibly popular. There are a lot of restaurants in that street, but even when those are almost empty, there's always a huge line of customers waiting at the kiosk. Being a stranger here, I never understood why so many people go there. A few weeks ago, I went to get food there with my friends before a party. They told me the kiosk is so popular because of a meal they serve, the Julientje. So that's what we ordered. It's a huge pile of fries and diced frikandel (a sort of deep-fried hot dog they eat over here and in the Netherlands), drowned in gravy and mayonnaise, and with dried onion bits sprinkled on top. It was delicious, but also without any doubt the unhealtiest thing I ever ate. Building a drilling rig over one of these meals would solve the oil crisis. And there was so much of it, I could barely eat half of the fries before feeling completely full. | 2014-01-27 14:31:00 Author: SnipySev Posts: 2452 |
The Frikandel is delicious! Had to say. They also have the XXL Frikandel and it's like extra large. I don't know how to measure it, but it's like three/four times the size of a normal frikandel, which is LARGE. Once i had one, and i set my goal to eat it completely. In the end i didn't even have hunger anymore, i was completely full. But even then, i kept on eating it. Can't come up with anything else. | 2014-01-30 22:47:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |
I have bathed in milk. It was pretty unpleasant, and a waste of a day's paycheck but hey, yolo What's sad is I'm not even lying, we read a poem in English about it (the princess or something by Christina rosetti) and I was like yeah that looks fun IT ISN'T ITS HELLA COLD AND SMELLS BAD | 2014-01-30 23:00:00 Author: flamingemu Posts: 1872 |
The most decadent meal I've ever had was also one of the most disappointing. I went to some high end fancy pants restaurant with my parents, I even had to wear a tie! I'm not the type to dress up, ever. But we were there and I figured I'd order the duck, because y'know, cartoons have taught me that duck is fancy. The plate of duck comes out and sure there's duck on it; duck breast, duck sausages and duck leg but not a single other thing besides the sauce on top. I like meat as much the next person but couldn't help wondering where the other half of my meal went. | 2014-01-31 00:22:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
All you can eat pizza place. Managed to drive home, went straight to the toilet to cleanse myself. | 2014-01-31 10:07:00 Author: gdn001 Posts: 5891 |
Foie gras is delicious but you feel bad after eating it. Not physically bad, but morally bad. Essentially it is made by force feeding a duck or goose, most likely using a gavage (a painful looking metal tube). Ultimately, something suffered for my pleasure so that's pretty much maximum decadence right there. | 2014-01-31 16:13:00 Author: bonner123 Posts: 1487 |
