I was just playing a series of levels in LBP2. I was at the end of level 2 and was being sent to level 3. The PS3 screen went black, the arrows stopped and the PS froze. I couldn't turn the system off with the controller or PS3 button. We turned it off at the main power button in the back. (The front wouldn't work) After turning the main power back on we have not been able to turn the PS3 on at all. Any ideas as to how to get it back on or is my PS3 dead?

3 things I need to know to see what this is: 1.What model of PS3 are you using? 2.When you try to turn on the PS3, is there a flashing yellow/orange light? A solid one? 3.When did all of this happen?

Model is Cechlo1 80 gb . When we try to turn it on it just stays red. No yellow or flashing. Happened about 10 mins. ago. There is power to the unit but it does not respond. EDIT: Hubby just removed the Hdmi cable, removed power, plugged power back on, put hdmi cable back on and the unit has now come back on. Thanks anyway.

Good to hear! Was thinking you got a YLOD like I did on my Cechlo1. That would've really sucked, as the 2 solutions for that are sending it in, and the DIY we performed, but the latter only lasts a few months before you have to repair it again... the family just ended up buying a Slim in the end.
