Saw that someone mentioned that it was possibly coming to the vita later... went to twitter:
https://twitter.com/TarsierStudios
Apparently Supermassive Games made the DC pack? and the vita is getting it's own version- 'quite different.' Wonder if that means we won't be getting any new power ups or interactive materials/tweakers.

It will be the Hero Cape and Wall-Jumping functionality packed into a brand new set of levels made especially for LBP PS Vita.

Hello!

I have a level in progress, which could need some of the tools from the DLC. It would save me a lot of time.

When can we expect the DLC? Is there any info about the release date? I really can't wait for it.

Lies!
So far I've only purchased the NBC pack, because the Marvel one didn't um...interest me- but if this pack is anything like the PS3 version I'll definitely buy it.

He's already revealed too much! You don't want to get him in trouble.
I'd say wait...

OMG IM SO EXCITED! Finally another pack for the vita one! Hopefully it's as useful as the marvel pack. NBC pack seemed not that good at all so I didn't purchase it. Hopefully the dc one will have some useful decorations materials and stickers, lbp vita is in desperate need for more materials. Also there need to be more team picks on the vita, but anyways really excited about this pack!

We're nearly there, promise.

Just sorting out the final launch details now...
And I've even had a couple of rather awesome DC Comics wallpapers put together to make up for the delay.

Tell me about it! It won't be long now though before Sackboy is bouncing off the walls and gliding like a true hero in his brand new portable adventures!

For those of you who can't wait (or want more control and don't mind crediting LINERIDER for his awesome creation)
http://vita.lbp.me/v/gdsdz
It's wall jumping sackbot logic. You can copy and paste the logic into a chip if you want to add more abilities but just make sure to credit the creator, LINERIDER! I don't see a problem with using it as it plays VERY similarly to the wall jump ability in LBP2 and LBP's motto is play/create/SHARE.

Oh, that seems interesting, but it's not that I don't want the DLC for the add-ons...I really just want to play some platforming levels.

They appear to keep sneaking in bits of dlc patches here and there... splat was added in december and later came then came the second tethered jetpack(hero cape?)

Anyone else find A Frosty Reception freezes when you go up in the lift? Tried it twice, stops in the same place.2014-04-18 20:39:00

I have had the same problem. Yeah, there's a ton of bugs, sadly.

Also the bigger discussion is going on in the News section. You might want to check there.

It wasn't mentioned on http://blog.us.playstation.com and the store is taking a lifetime to load....it's offline... great..................

Yeah, the store was offline for updates. Most likely to fix the bugs with buying the pack, i think.

Again, the big discussion is going on in the News & Media section. You might wanna check.

That's weird, it doesn't look like last week's LBP blog post is showing up on the US blog. Not sure if it's been deleted or it just never got posted for some reason. You can still read it on the EU blog here though: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/04/14/littlebigplanet-ps-vita-dc-comics-premium-level-pack-coming-week/

It happened to me as well. It's because you are collecting a powerup after triggering the level link. The game doesn't like that. When you jump on the lift, just don't stand near the checkpoint.

It's really disappointing that this is in the DLC, as it requires you to fully quit the game. :/

That's unfortunate Comph, thanks for letting us know how to avoid it though.

Has anyone felt that the cape is more controllable in the LBPV version than the LBP2 verison? Is it the same physics code? I feel like in the Vita one, swooping down and back up seems more friendly.

There's surprisingly few positive comments about this pack considering how awesome the new features are!! Sure it's annoying there's that glitch (which I didn't come across on my playthrough) but it's more than made up for in the new possibilities with these new mechanics.

Personally my favourite thing is the new materials and decorations though, so many new creepers and vines! And those ruined walls are great, a total must-have for some levels and a great replacement for the poorer stone materials from the original game.

I agree Coxy. There are some downsides to it sure, but I still love it and you're right, the new materials and deco are just fantastic! I'm still a little disappointed at the length of these levels. ALL of them are double levels so acing is a pain in the rearend, but I'm not giving up. I've played the Joker level at least 50 times now. Grrr!

I was just thinking this too. It seems to fly longer too. Definitely more controllable.

If you wall jump, swoop down and back up, you can climb further up the wall because the cape is a lot more floaty than in LBP2. I was actually able to get some of the prize bubbles that require the green lantern material before I even had access to it, just by using that trick to climb up walls. It does feel a lot more natural to use as well.

Yes, the new game materials are great- but not being able to get some because of how tricky and long the levels are is annoying. I got most of the important must have items though...
A while back, in an interview, the devs of LBPV that the physics of their version of the game featured improved physics that would provide "tighter" and less "floaty" gameplay. So that's probably why the cape feels different and easier to control.
I hope they continue to make more level kits.

But... but i found this glitch before you! :C

Also, you can also just keep jumping and just hold the right stick up and to left/right corresponding to where the wall is.
