hmm im not sure how it would work, I mean if your talking about a door where it opens regularly, Like a door in your house, no you coudnt do it because it would require the object changing planes, rotating in a way that LBP objects cant... however like a trapdoor that opens up or down would actually be pretty easy to do... as simple as having the door, making a waffer thin piece of material extending past the door, attaching a bolt... vuala a hinge... probably not what you ment, considering its pretty simple.

Mayhaps later on the big guys will be nice and give us a generic door tool. You set height and color, and it opens when activated by switch

You could have a fake hinge so when the door is activated the door dissolves (making it open) then also emits a copy of it in the plane behind either to the left or right depending on how you want to open it.
