Until now, I've been using a backup for my account. However, I wanted to get trophies and pins, so I deleted my old profile data so I could start from the beginning (that's what the alert told me to do) But now, everytime I try to play, it freezes just before the game loads. I also noticed that every time it freezes, a new file is being created on my ps3 that says "corrupted data". The file is being created in the "games" category, not the "saved data" category, like it's trying to save but is writing the data to the wrong place. What should I do?

Well, the LBP2 profile data should be located in the game data folder, not the saved data folder. Saved data is used for the backups you've created for your profile or your created levels. So it's saving in the correct place at least. The freezing is what's causing the profile data to corrupt. Not sure why it would freeze especially if you're starting from scratch. Have you got disk space available? Is your LBP2 up to date with regards to patches? At what point does it freeze?

My other accounts work fine. But after I deleted my data for this account, I can't start LBP. It freezes at the point it would normally load the pod or the intro level. I even deleted this entire account from my PS3 and remade it, and it still freezes when I try to start LBP. When it froze, it checked the PS3 file system and couldn't find anything wrong with it...

Yes...but they're all for my other accounts, not this one.

Did you delete the corrupted data after the first time it froze? (I'm clutching at straws here, sorry )

Maybe you could Delete LBP and reinstall it? It's worth a try of course, but her(?) other profiles work fine. Certainly an odd issue. Might be a pain reinstalling it again since she(?)'ll have to redownload a massive file and download a huge update.

Okay....this seems to happen anytime I try to start a new game on littlebigplanet 2. Does anyone want to test this out? It may be a problem with the new update... Just make a new account on your ps3 (you don't have to make a playstation network account, just another ps3 name) and try to play lbp2...

If you can't do that I could only suggest backing up what you can, try out a few combinations of accounts/profiles in case one works, then nuke all LBP profile data across all accounts and start a new game. If that still doesn't work then there's not many options left but a reinstall, **** sucks.

If that still doesn't work then there's not many options left but a reinstall, **** sucks. The problem was this: If I tried to start a new game, it froze right before the introduction level. All my previous accounts work fine. But if I try to start from the beginning, it won't work. I think it's attempting to create new save data in the wrong place, because every time I try to play from the beginning, a "corrupted data" file was being created. I deleted LBP2, and redownloaded it. It didn't fix the problem. BUT, I found the solution. I deleted a big 2GB file that apparently contained most of my DLC data in it....but it enabled me to play the introduction level just fine. So therefore, the problem is with the new DLC, maybe the DC comics pack or something... Can anyone with the DC comics pack or some of the new costume packs try to make a new PS3 account and play LBP2 from the beginning? If it freezes, we know that's the problem...
