Oh my guacamole! This is the best music hub I have ever seen in like - ever!! Where do I start? The synchronized introduction showing the people who created their masterpiece along with the main logo with so much detail or win. Or maybe the amazing features that the hub offers making it high quality. I'm going to focus mainly on the quantity and quality of the music because that tops it all off and shines more brighter than any star on a Christmas tree. This is the one of the best Christmas Highlights of 2013 that has come to LittleBigPlanet. Dancing thru the snow with a sleigh full of glee, I wish I could be, part of the JMC team!!! This level has 3 things I enjoy: up to my neck in amazing artwork (I mean wow that opening scene synced to jingle bells rocked the night away), A huge showing of community, which well if you know me I am a huge supporter of all the communities, even the Brony community, yeah I am looking at you Wesfun, and lastly outstanding music, cause come on what's a Music Collab without Music right? Festive, rightly timed playing this cause well it's the holidays and considering I currently have about 13in of snow on my lawn I would say Winter is no longer coming, it is here and the team at JMC has brought us some new tunes to get us thru the Winter blues.

I've been waiting to review this since I first got my cotton stuffed sackboy to the third obstacle area. OooOo-ey was this one of those levels that gives you goose bumps and gets you lost in the contraptions and obstacles until you realize, Ahh crud I have got to jump, but it's too late, as you go down like the refuse lumber into the blazing kettle below. I noticed he states this as a "Hard" level, but I would beg to differ. More less Medium, but please don't let that be a turn-off to some of you Hardcore platformer lover's out there, this to will test your nerves in some areas. I am not going to fathom the amount of times he personally ran thru some areas just to get the such fine tuned timing down. Magnificient, indeed. Has me blown away and has given me so much inspiration when it comes to how far and how much more inventive people seem to get with platformers. Always amazes me to see such a spot on platformer such as this one and once again, Z1197484087349834720348743574305734583 has shown me why I look forward to this creator's levels.Oh an abandoned saw mill. That sounds like a great place to wander into to to just. I dunno. Look around? Of wait, in real life I’d be sure to avoid such a place, and I certainly would’t think it was such a good idea to jump over flaming pits and deadly spinning saw blades, in an attempt to pop some bubbles. But in LBP, its a great environment to spend some time. A good amount of danger, challenge, but structured with friendly spawns and a clear direction makes this a very fun level to defy death in.This is one of those levels where the theme and gameplay just come together brilliantly. The different contraptions all seem perfectly at home in a sawmill and I definitely had one of bio’s “wow” moments the first time I saw the huge saw blades lopping off the rotating sponges. Just genius. The level looks fantastic too. I’ve never seen such attractive rust before, lol. It has such a deep patina it almost seems like it’s been varnished. It all adds to the rich, sombre atmosphere, where the only light seems to come from the fires pits beneath your feet. Even the bubbles have a dark industrial sheen to them. The crowning glory of the level though is the gameplay. Yet more of Z1091990’s now almost trademark contraptions. They’re inventive, original and, bottom line, they just play really well. As Leems says the platforming is magnificent and I loved the challenge in the hard to reach bubbles, even if it does sometimes seem like I’m losing more points in trying to nab them than I end up getting if I do! Great level…so much so that I can't even hold a grudge against Z for assuming I wouldn’t be able to finish it

http://i6.lbp.me/img/bl/12636e23f3839647cba565aa9c3a5ee1b6dc081f.pngYour Boxes are Randy's Box-Portals-Kingdom Epic_Purple_Lion Welcome to Land of boxes, Boxes everywhere! There, here, over there, everywhere! It is tricky though, you can't trust boxes, they are boxes! Go in to A and get out on the other A! Crazy! Music by: xX_ihamadi_Xx and İdgowans! They are Asam! 1 player for the best Quality! Have Box!
Boxes. . . Boxes everywhere! And math? Boxes and math?? I WANT MY MOMMY! Never be afraid of boxes and math being in the same place especially in this amazingly designed platformer because it will make you feel like home. . . in the case of boxes and some math. There are some really neat game play that I found very enjoyable and you only need to use a little of your noggin' near the end. Why at the end? Because there is an answer where you must find the right question to, or else you will see the dark side of boxes and math being together. A somewhat hectic type of platformer that has you bouncing through box portals in quick succession, but luckily, the boxes are clearly labeled so with some quick planning, you can at least sort of guess where you will end up. SO keep your wits about you especially as you are required to do math in some parts. ‘Math?!’ I hear you gasp in quasi fear. Yes; Math. But not scary ‘solve for X’ type of stuff more of a um… 'solve for exit’ type of deal. Oh and that is linguistic punnery right there.

http://ie.lbp.me/img/bl/0aeb989344c32e0f54ba6943cda53635e3143a55.pngHeskez oo (Platformer)Sandro8708Weird name! Orange trees, wooden ways and hills: This is Heskezoo. Difficult: medium - hard. 8 Bubble and 3 Secrets. I hope you can enjoy this Platformer just like when I created it. Credit: @CSIkone for helping with some gameplay. @actio1_618 for a sticker I got from his level. @nk827
I both hate and love levels like this. Tricky challenging platforming and unforgiving timing resulting in continual deaths over and over again. I know it’s my fault though, which is why I love theses stages. It’s tricky to balance this type of frustration though, I could die a few times in a section and just blame bad design, where this level excels is that it’s painfully clear where to go, painfully obvious how to get there. It’s just the execution that is lacking on my part as I botch and bungle yet another jump, and am sent on a one way trip into a spike pit.Sandro8708’s levels are improving all the time and this one is his best yet. I enjoyed the slightly eccentric, orange-soaked theme and running through the wavy hills with their plump orange trees and tackling the wooden obstacles was fun. Like Mr F, I did end up hitting the spikes a fair few times as my sense of timing is not the best but I always knew that I’d get there in the end and there’s something in the quirky charm of the level as a whole with its secrets and nods to the collector and Esmerelda which keeps the smile on your face. The obstacles make good use of timing and in and out movers and will definitely keep you on your toes. An entertaining and very well made level with something of the colour and fizz of Lucozade

http://if.lbp.me/img/bl/adf8f9c489f351ef4514327351b78bf4618e8979.pngDo or Die: Amazon Ambush [ONE PLAYER]Geet-RMusic @ end by @Buddydestruction! After being boarded by pirates off the coast of Guiana, Colonel Sackson and his crew narrowly escape in a lifeboat. Tossed and turned by the merciless seas, they crash on a strange island, which houses a lush, dark rainforest. Spotting a pirate (who absconds into the forest), Sackson has no choice but to retrieve his confidentials and kidnapped crew within the hazardous jungle. PS: Sorry that he starts facing left at some point--it's a glitch that I can't fix!
Oh boy, this level had me laughing and completely hooked from the opening seconds of the first cutscene (you’ll see what I mean when you play it). The “hero” of this adventure is the hard-bitten and sardonic Colonel Sackson who is out to track down the foolhardy pirate who stole his stuff and kidnapped his crew after they were stranded in the jungle. You set off in pursuit through an overgrown and steamy temple, tackling zombies and all sorts of hazards on the way. The gameplay makes great use of wall jumping mechanics and mixes them brilliantly with the paintinator gun to create a whole series of fun obstacles and adventures for the indomitable Colonel. Geet-R does a brilliant job of weaving gameplay into the story (or is it the other way round?) and adding more than a dash of humour and high drama. I loved every second of it and very much hope to see more of the Colonel and his long suffering crew in another episode. Genuinely fun to play.I am not too familiar with Geet-R's previous work, but after playing this episode of Do or Die, I sure am a Geet-R fanboy now. Travel thru the harsh jungle to retrieve your comrades in arms from a voo doo throwing pirate, while using you swift abilities to wall jump, and explosion inducing firearm to take down even the most savage of jungle zombies. Geet-R has perfected what will soon possibly be the end of the sackbut controlled wall jumping era. The lush environment played perfectly into the flow of the platforming, storyline, and overall atmosphere. This is definitely one of those levels I rethrew back into my queue after playing it the first time. Heck I have even already, promoted it to some friends to play :-D

http://ib.lbp.me/img/bl/00b7504027013a3259a9eced28751a59fbb4fd0e.pngThe Curse of Hatred - ACT I (Top-Down RPG) [1P]Sport_dude<if loading="" crash="" try="" again=""> [1P ONLY] - Decades ago, a Sage saved the World from the dark forces of Hell. However, the souls of the dead evils never vanished during all those years and a second invasion has started fueled by hatred. Play the role of Leonard, the son of the Sage, who has a lot to learn to become like his father. It's time to prepare yourself for the war and become one with an Archangel. ---[READ NORMAN HAWKLIGHT'S JOURNAL]--- Music by Buddydestruction , Font by @Sack-Beaver --- Thanks !!!
I have to confess that I’m not normally a huge fan of top-down RGP levels in LBP. There’s something about the top-down aspect and the way the characters glide around in controlinator seats that just seems very artificial to me (sorry, don’t hate me too much!). But this is a truly impressive work. The story telling is excellent, due largely to a series of wonderfully expressive illustrations in the journal of Norman Hawkright. By the time you enter the gameplay sections you’ve been drawn into the story and want very much to know the fate of the lands under threat from the forces of evil and how the story of the two brothers will work out. So much thought and care has obviously gone into all the aspects of this adventure, from the beautifully detailed visuals to the thoughtful story and the gameplay with its quests and battles. I loved the interactive map that accompanies you throughout and makes sure that you always know where to go next and there are some nice touches of humour in the dialogue. So far we only have the first stages of this story but it’s a great piece of work and I look forward to the next instalment.Soooo when you have an EPIC level like this with 10 minutes of back story, side quests, top down maps and character progression. You either end up with a review like lass’s above or one like mine, which equates to a simple recommendation. Play this level. Play it now. Oh. One more recommendation. This is a big game. so set aside some time to play, like maybe your entire afternoon. Oh and Lass - I have a stage that relies on a top down controlinator… grrrrrr...

http://i5.lbp.me/img/bl/175e31b3f89d590744c874bc63b2ef3acb685ba5.pngSuper Jam-Party, Deluxe Edition! (Version 2.2)Epic_Purple_LionSweet sweet night life! With all colourful lights and stuffs! Fly to this wonder and use wall jump to beat it up! Barbara would be so proud! If you want to be fabulous like her just wear Some Start Shaped Glasses! It's a new trend you know. She loves them so much. So would be bad if you damage them! Music by: xX_ihamadi_Xx Thanks Kempenn- for Ideas!

Hate to sound old, but my sackboy wore his Blue Blockers while wall jumping to be richocet'd off another wall to perform an Olympic sized wall jump to slide on down to richocet off another until, pop goes the bubbly and I get nailed by the cork just to have to do it all over again very happily. A lot of different themes get thrown around so often in LBP, but I would have to say this is the closest one I recently played that I can compare to the festivities I enjoyed on New Years Eve. So get out there my sack chum and personally have a dance with Barbara and don't forget to throw on some sunglasses (insert corny joke here) cause we all know are future's are looking bright starting with 2014!!!SO new DLC spawns new gameplay ideas, and here we see the combination of Muppets and DC DLC with wall jumping and bouncing material. Does it work? Um… Yes, yes it does. Is it fun? Um… Yes, yes it is. Is it tricky? Ye- No… well, it is but not in a way that sees you throw a control pad so hard that it stick out of the wall like a ninja star or anything. A really interesting concept that I think will inspire even more ways to get from that entrance gate to the nice giant TV thing that seems to always have me on the bottom of the score list.

http://ib.lbp.me/img/bl/7eb0d493cfd38ff88c8323467799648045a13138.pngRadica l Airshipyu-kamoneThis airship flies in the sky at high speed. Sackboy performs special training in this airship. Let`s finish training using a wall jumping and hero cape!! (1~4player) ----- I used many items of the DCpack!! ------- この飛空艇は大空を高速で駆け巡る。リビッツはこの飛空挺の中で特別な訓練を行う。壁キックとヒーローマン トを駆使して訓練をやり遂げよう!
Wow, Yu-ka-mone has done it yet again and this time with a touch of DC goodness and even on an airship! So much game play is across this level at the same time as well as multiple races that will drive you to get the high score. This might remind you of Hero Race where you go through hoops and gain bubbles to earn a multiplier, except this goes beyond and has more variety. There is no excuse to not replay this level because your eye might twitch at the numbers when you reach the scoreboard. Well done, Yu, now to play this again, and again and *boots up LBP2*.Yu-kamone returns with a bang with this well designed race using wall jumping and gliding from the DC Comics pack. There's just something so appealing about levels like this – a kind of guilty pleasure in a way, though why guilty I’m not quite sure. It’s so satisfying trying to string together long combos and speeding through one obstacle after another without pausing for breath. When you get it right and everything flows beautifully, it really does give you a kick. And, of course, it takes a lot of skill putting together gameplay that lets you do this but Yu-kamone is a master of this particular art and also manages to change things up and keep you on your toes with new challenges and twists and turns in each of the three sections of the level. Personally I fall apart when it comes to the hero cape and on the trickier obstacles, instead of swooping and gliding gracefully, I flap around desperately before spiralling inexorably downwards. But then another of the pleasures of levels like this is the feeling that next time, surely, you’ll get it right and so you keep on trying...and trying. The whole thing is very nicely packaged, as ever with Yu’s levels. The Airship looks and sounds wonderful and the jets that whoosh past you are a cool touch. Playing this level is one guilty pleasure I’m not going to give up in any rush of virtuous New Year’s resolutions.

http://i5.lbp.me/img/bl/575bb910cbf5edb6651aea9b26d7efca13db0849.pngLittle Bird By Adel22Adel221Player only..... use only (R) and (L) a n a l o g stick to control this little bird.
Oh yeah, look a bird! This level is a really enjoyable experience and I'll tell ya I did not expect what was coming. You're a red bird with long legs where you can move up and down eating little yellow and green bits to manoeuvre through obstacles in this really cartoon-y world. I love how there the ability to slingshot yourself in pretty much any direction and the way the bird bobbles is just awesome and so cute. Overall, this is a really great level from Adel you should not miss out on!everybody cut footloose, footloose, Kick off the Sunday shoes.... Ahh my little birdy puts Kevin Bacon to shame (L-I-M-I unofficially writing reviews for the older but wiser crowd, now ) Adel22 has proven time and time again that sprite based levels can be challenging, fun, addictive, and a fundamental part of LBP. This time Adel moves away from his beloved Stick figures and puts us in the wings of a flightless bird that is in some serious need of a chiropractor after I was done controlling it. The mechanics are a joy to play with and the innovation here is phenomenal.

The base mechanics are just not enough for L-I-M-I. So L-I-M-I just had to chuck in his own mechanics. These consist of a cool smash jump, which activates bounce pads and break walls. A nice gliding mechanic to seamlessly jump of large gaps, and a wall jump!! Over on the vita we don’t have that fancy smancy new wall jump material like on lbp2. But L-I-M-I’s solution is just as smooth. I bet after playing the LBPV's main story you would think that the hollows are the main enemies in Carnivalia. Well in this wonderful adventure, that is not the case at all. We got holo decorations and other bits and bobs to create with, and this is perfecty one of the best uses for it. Giving a holo their 15 minutes of fame for being good and a hero, is all you need to know to experience this wonder creation by L-I-M-I.

I -- oooh is that a vita and an awesome Halloween level? Don't mind if I do! Venture through a spooky platformer filled with spooky treats. Who cares if it isn't Halloween time, an awesome level is an awesome level! It doesn’t have to be Halloween for a good old fashioned spooking, and Woutery shows us how that can be the case. I assure you this level is certainly no trick but a marvelous treat of platforming goodness. I have always known Woutery to be an amazing music creator but he’s not too shabby at creating platformers it seems either, as this level was fantastic! From it’s wonderfully feeling platforming, to the gorgeous level art, all the way to the great sound design. Bravo!

Another honorable mention! This is my...third? Anyway, my next level will totally get a spotlight, totally.

But anyway, great levels. If only Sack Hack had better visuals, it would have been on here, but alas.

Another honorable mention! This is my...third?

My two Team Picked levels also had a honorable mention, no spotlights.

BTW, Remedy seriously deserves a full spotlight.

Ugh, can I ask..... does anyone else have a queue of about 80 levels that shows no sign of decreasing? This game is like a million (slight exaggeration) years old know. You'd have thought all the good levels would have been made already! I don't play it much these days, yet I keep adding levels to my queue.2014-01-06 11:52:00

Congrats on all the spotlighted levels. I may have been disappointed that my newest level didn't make the list (I worked even harder on Chapter 5 than 4, too ), but that was quite a list of great levels.2014-01-08 00:58:00

I'm a bit late, but I really appreciate the spotlight and the kind words. I'm just glad to know that people had as much fun playing it as I had making it, and that they appreciate my silly stories that I don't really have an outlet for usually. Now I only hope I do well with the second part! Thanks again! :hero:2014-01-08 19:29:00
