ok Im working on a few other things right now, soo I probably wont get around to this.. but ive noticed that almost every LBP level that contains some kind of story, is usually "hey lets stop the bad guy from doing this!!!" ok well my idea is, what if you are the bad guy? huh? How you like those apples? like picture it as almost like james bond, from doctor no's point of view... I think it could be cool.. you step on the button and cut the captured secret agent in half with the laser... you drop people in shark tanks. you order your henchmen around, defeat humanities greatest hero, drill the hole in the earth and drop in the nukes... I'd rather be the villian than the hero so you have my support there ^_^
Hero levels are all so gimicky "Find the key!" "Save the princess"
Why not "Hide the key" "Lock up the princess!"

Found a good level where you have to sacrifice a virgin to the Gods to pass an obstacle :hero: .

But I just can't imagine Sackboy as the murdering or stealing type, too many fingerprints or stitch marks or whatever

no he deffinataly wouldnt do the dirty work himself... he either presses a button to kill his enimies, or just orders his henchmen to do it... Sackboys a little big super villian... The Phantom Sack!!! hmm you know what I might reconsider doing this... could be fun!2009-02-02 08:55:00

Have you played in the belly of the beast by MostEvilMilo?
You get to kill LOADS of innocent sackpeople there :kz: and it also contains alot of great platforming and puzzles!

my newest thing ive been working on is to have the people with their heads detatched, but held on with elastic, and a small layer of desove material keeping everything in place... having a grab switch in the head attatched to the desolve, and having a mag switch set to inverted in the body, and a mag key on the head... the mag switch is 1 shot and attatched to a protected brain, so essentially you have to pull their head off...

kind of creative and very tactile way of deathdealing... could be pretty cool.

It's may or may not count but in my HEIST series you get to play as a master thief - thats reasonably evil, or perhaps just infamous.

If I ever saw a level where you play as an evil character It would have to be done well though, with you being malicious rather than plain violent

yea played your heist levels, great job...

Soo I think since alot of my planned projects seemed to have fallen apart.. I will probably tackle this one... I was thinking somthing along the lines of super villainy... where your mission is to destroy the world.. to do so you must make it through (Possibly multiple levels) your evil lair, while your hench men are battleing the UN forces sent to stop you. go through, kill a secret agent or two, possibly a super hero, activate the drills, blast off in your escape pod to your moonbase, enter the launch codes, and BAMMM!!! mission accomplished!... somthing along those lines.

all i have to say is: in order to make it great, you need to go all bada$$. maybe you can fire nukes at cities and have a level where you defend your top secret underground base while you prepare to fire the warheads. that would probably be the last level, haha.

or.... you can probably come up with something better.

LOL ask and ye shal recieve... working out the physics on making him split in two when the laser hits him right now...

and yes I was thinking of the base invasion sequence.. I like the idea of nuking random cities... like have the world map and when a world leader refuses your demands you hit the button and there city is destroyed...

i believe im kindof reverse engenereing this though, as my first steps was working on the destruction of the earth cinimatic... seems to work pretty well...

hmm you know I think I just figured out the how to split someone with a laser.. lol hope this works should be awesome!

The Twysted Tales levels, some of my favorite levels, have "evil" characters. What Twysted Tales does is it makes it so not everything is black and white. Characters have questionable motives for things they do, and that's why I love those levels so much.

yup pretty much what I did, seemd to have a great effect... heres a diagram lol sorry for the crap drawing, Its soo much easier to make cool looking stuff in LBP than in MSpaint...

basically the Spy is held together by a thin peice of dissolve... when the laser is done cutting through him, he splits in half and blood splatters are emmited from both sides of his chest... not too bad

Yeah I gave the player the choice to be evil in my Knight's Tale series, and then expanded on that in my 2nd installation, Ranaku's Awakening. Yeah, dont want to be moderated... but I plan to have the destruction of the earth, dropping bombs on major world cities, and maby even somthing where you drive a giant mechanincal monster through the streets of newyork, destroying everything you see... hmm yeah deffinatly not getting the E rating on this one...

Ok I contemplated moving this to a thread in the projects section, since its technically a project now.. but really I dont want to hype it much right now, and am really just working out a few Ideas, so this seems like a good place for it..

Ok so I was thinking, with the depth I want to goto in this project one level wont cut it... maybe 3-5...

so heres a basic outline of what Im working with so far...

Ep1 : Desicribes the ins and outs of your nafarious plot, one problem: funding... in this level you must break into the US gold reserve at Fort Knox.. blast your way through the US army and Steal Das Gold!

Ep2: using your funds you must buy nuclear matterials from an undesclosed middle eastern faction.. somehow find a way to drill into the eaths crust all over the world and place the nuclear devices.

Ep3: unknown, possibly rampaging through a city in a giant robot...

Ep4: The UN forces are invading your base, and somones been snooping around... you must wipe out the un forces, track down and dissarm the explosives placed by the spy, chase down and capture the spy. and escape in your escape pod.

Ep5: arrive at your moonbase, do all sorts of preperation for the detonation. Kill the spy. blow up the Earth... Win.

soo tell me if anything should be changed and also if you have any IDEAs let me know!

So basically, reaching back through the Bond films... you will be the number 4 or 5 agent in SPECTRE.. Number 1 will be Ernest Blofeld, just like in the movies, Bald, Scarred, and fluffy white cat.. I played a level where there was a character standing on a cliff edge. If you pushed him off you heard a scream, and later on his wife and kids would cry. If you resisted the urge to push him, his wife and kids were happy, and you got bonus points.

Of course I pushed him off the edge.

I am created something similar (which I think tops that) in my upcoming level. No spoilers sorry.
