Memorizer Help (Reset/Save Speed?)

Archive: 4 posts

When I was messing around with the memorizer, I tried using my sequencer replacement (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=82796-Some-mini-logic-tutorials-tips) to
1st: Reset the memorizer data
2nd: Activate changes to memorized object
3rd: Resave changes

but what I noticed is that at the speed of 30Hz is that instead of saving the new changes, it reverted back to normal, and kept previous changes

To give some insight on why this happens is because of the circumstances that were present when this happened, which is that the memorizer had the same amount of slots as a selector present, and had all of its outputs into the corresponding selector input slots, while the selector had its outputs into the corresponding memorizer slots, so it should go unchanged normally when cycled, but I

1st: Reset the memorizer
2nd: Cycled Selector
3rd: Then saved changes

Is there some save/reset "cooldown" time that I'm not aware of?

Ill post a picture of this soon, maybe that will help if this is hard to understand in text

From what I gather, your setup is something similar to the following?

I only tested this on the Vita Memoriser, but it worked flawlessly cycling the saved state each time I jumped the Button...

1st frame; reset Memoriser,
2nd frame; cycle Selector,
3rd frame; save new Memoriser state.

Actually yeah that is exactly it, but if it works flawlessly on the vita, then it might be a bug on the PS3 version
the bug I had was that whenever I restarted the save process that is stated, I.E if it was on selector state 3/4 and I cycled it would flash 4/4 for a frame, then go back to 3/4

still haven't had time to get back on LBP for pictures

This could well be a bug, though a not too important one. This behavior is, as you pointed out, most likely due to a cool down to prevent save-file corruption or too many write accesses to the HDD. I don't really get though why you'd need this set up. Instead of resetting the Memorizer to cycle the selector, just run all the wires going into the selector through an empty chip, which you only activate when reading from the Memorizer. That way you don't have to do the reset-set routine.2014-01-11 15:15:00
