I've been gone for 3 weeks. Now I'm back, and I think it's about time for the next round of LBPC Mafia . Only this time, it's Christmas Edition. Just leave a post saying you want to play, and I'll get you in.There are two individual teams ? the North and The South. The game proceeds in two repeating stages ? day and night ? and starts off with day. Every day, each member of the game will use logical deduction and exquisitely random guessing to try and determine who they would like to vote for ? the North elves wanting to discover who is Southern and vote them off, and the Southern elves voting on whoever floats their boat, as whoever gets the most votes dies. There shall be NO PMs among North elves ? all discussion will remain on the game?s thread. Everybody will vote on whoever they would like to die. The handsome host of the game ? yours truly ? will frequently tally up these votes, in order to give the North Elves and the South Elves a report, which will be publicly posted as a standard, grade-A post. When the night comes, the South will privately communicate over a private chat who they would like to assassinate. Then, when they come to a conclusion, they will all PM me the group?s choice. If the North Elves manage to kill off all of the South Elves, they will have officially won the game. If, however, at any time, the number of South Elves is greater than the number of North Elves, the South Elves will have won the game. When playing this game, there are two things you will largely want to do. First, you will want to tell off all of those Southern scumbags, and find out who they are. This requires deep, hard thinking, but guessing or using Random.org is, of course, a perfectly viable solution. The second thing you want to do is profess your innocence, though you will probably save this for when you have a lot of people screaming ?ER MEH GEHRD HE?S SOUTHERN LET?S VOTE ON HIM YEAAAAAAAAAAAA?. TURNS The game will start in the day. During the day, all players will vote on who they would like to kill (South Elves included). After all of the votes come in, or the 2 real-life day limit comes and ends the day, the night will start. During the night, the South Elves will discuss, via a private chat, who they want to kill. They will have one real life day to do so. Nobody can post anything related to the game at this time (all game-related discussion will happen during the day). After I receive confirmation from the South Elves and PM's from the special North Elf roles, or the 1 real-life day limit comes and ends the night, the day will come, and I will provide a report that will say what happened during the night. Should a player not post for 3 in-game days (nights not included) in a row, they will automatically be killed. This ensures that everybody on the thread is active, and helps with the pacing. Remember - Do not privately tell anybody else of your role. You can say your role all you want in the actual thread, but there's no way to prove that you're not lying, so it really won't mean a grain of salt. - North Elves cannot PM each other about the game under any circumstance, but the South Elves can PM each other (only each other, however ? NOT North Elves) - No posts related to the game may be made in the in-game night. Discussion is allowed, but it cannot be related to the game. -If you are confused when it comes to the rules of this game, go check out Burnvictim's LBPC Mafia thread to see the game in action.North Elves (Elfys) Elfy- A standard member of the North with no special powers. An elfy can vote during the day and participate in thread conversations, but that?s about it. Psychic Elfy- A Psychic Elfy can, during the night, detect the role of any player. Every night, the Psychic Elfy has the opportunity to PM me, asking for a player?s role, and I will tell them. However, since roles are not public, and lies are abound (anybody can claim to be the Psychic Elfy, but in reality there?s only one), the Psychic Elfy will have to rely on trust to convince everybody of their target?s role. Sneaky Elfy - The Sneaky Elfy has the power to kill whoever he wants during the night, but can only do so twice a game. This role is exactly the same as the Sneaky Elfo (seen below), only the elf's allegiance is towards the North Elves and not the South Elves, and the elf gets two kills per game rather than one. Magical Healer Elfy- Can protect one elf from any night attacks. They will PM me each night, telling me the elf of their choice. South Elves (Elfos) Elfo - A standard member of the South. Every night, the Elfos will collaborate with the other South members to decide what North Elf will be killed, and then PM me the group?s choice. Sneaky Elfo ? The Sneaky Elfo has the power to kill whoever he wants during the night, but can only do so once a game. The Donny Elfo - The Donny Elfo will, upon death, be revealed as an Elfy rather than a Donny Elfo. Only the Psychic Elfy can find this Elfo's true role. Extra Roles If a fair amount of people join, I will consider adding more roles in order to create more chaos, confusion, and other miscellaneous emotions. We Quit. For years, we have worked under you, Mr. Claus. For years, we were enslaved under your order, working tirelessly night and day to produce toys for you to deliver. It is time to end this, Mr. Claus. And though not all elves joined our cause, we have many, and we stand firmly in our beliefs. We will not live in the Hell you call Heaven. And if this means war, then we are ready to engage. On this day, December 25th, 2042, we quit. -The North Elves. The year is 2043, the month January, and the day the 1st. The North Pole is a nation in war, a nation divided. The North-North Pole and The South-North pole stand in battle formation, poised to end each other. "Down with the North!" shouts the South elves, standing alongside their leader Santa Claus. "Down with the South!" shouts the North elves, standing alongside their leader Jack Frost. Flags on the North wave valiantly - "Break The Chains, Fight The Oppression, And End The Slavery That Binds Us!" Likewise, the South's flags wave as well - "Work For The Children, Fight For Their Cause, and Kill All Who Dare Rebel!" But as they shout, the sand breaks down on the heads of the elves, blinding them as their eyes fill with a white void. And when the snow clears, they all stand together, and the pure whiteness of the ground is filled with a crimson red as Santa and Jack lie dead. Then, the North realize that they all appear to be one and the same, that Southern imposters are indistinguishable from the men they just stood poised with. They all stand in a circle, staring blankly, while the Southerns happily realize that they all know who each other are - they were quite a small group. Yet the North wants them dead... I'll add everyone tomorrow. Right now, I'm drving home from my grammas house out of state, (she has no internet :/), am at a gas station, and am typing this on my almost dead vita. Fun stuff. EDIT: Alright, Jar-Jar and butter are added to the list. Keep sending those PM's, folks. I will be closing the sign-ups on January 3rd, 2014 at 5:00 PM EST, and the game will then start probably the next day (depends on how fast I can get it ready.)
