Alot of you may know me, alot of you may not. Im Liquid_13, X-Newsie from littlebigfan.com. But let me get to the point, I've only been thinking this for a few days and havn't totally thought this through, but, I want to make a creators group( Youtube channel, something matching on our sackpeople, copyrighted machins and levels). Basically what we will do is create stuff together, ranging anywhere from Machines....to levels. Now I was thinking, we can all have a small part of our sackboy thats the same, I dont know what but we will vote on it. Also, we can have a copyright sticker thats on all our machines and in our levels. Also I was thinking, if confused cartmen could give us a Private forum(moderated by me, and a select few) here on lbpcentral.com, that would be GREAT. If your interested put your PSN. and why you would want to be apart of the LittleBigCreators. I will write your names down and add you like a week before LBP release. Sincerely, Liquid_13

Anyhow, tons of people will be doing this.. You can't just have a "select few".. The whole forum is a group thing, you can't just single people out for things..

I've got loads of ideas from oldschool artgroups [ascii and the sort] who used a pretty nice layout. Most of them need to be tested in game to see if they work but I'm sure they will. So I'm interested. Lets avoid using stickers, I'm sure we can create some awesome logo or what not with the ingame textuers I'm down. PSN drpacifist

We're all here to collaborate as a community, and if you don't want to do that, you are free to ask people if they would like to join your group. I don't believe in supporting any one thing unless it is official, and I don't believe in putting any group on a pedestal above everyone else, as it never turns out well. Like I said, feel free to organize your own group and keep your ideas secret, but don't ask this site to support that.

I'm not trying to single out anyone, or move away from LBPcentral. I just wanna get all the "Creators" actually being productive, so LBPCentral can actually have a name, and be known for something once the game comes out. I mean anyone can join, I just wanna get all the "Creators" in the game together to do something fun!

So all the ideas and work were doing was what...us sitting on our a$$ you have a subtle elitist attitude that I am not even sure you know you have... Who do you deem is or is not a "creator" Setting up a guild inside a guild...does not compute...:kz: it is obvious that you want the creme of the crop...where I believe every member has something to add... Good luck with your endeavor...I dont think uber l33t guilds belong in a LBP atmosphere...

How about, rather than clubs or whatnot, make a way to help hook players up with each other. Like helping the awesome level layout guy find a great wacky contraption designer? Sort of like want ads. [just don't say "personals"] I'm down with sporting a LBPC tag on my levels as well as any other tag that may help distinguish me and my buddies from all the other millions of creators.

I don't see why you would be secretive you probably have the same idea as another person and if LBP decides to add a select few to charge for their levels i doubt anyone will become rich. This game should be about open ideas and fun making it with friends. it is not to make levels or machines for profit or comments. Also if it is out and open on this forum who knows some new person that just joined could see your idea and have a awesome addition to it but you are already locked off from the public. also for you previous statement I don't see the trill in getting my name known to complete strangers especially if it is over a game. I'd rather have fun and be with my friends on LBP. I like how open this forum is and the people on here that is why I joined. Now if you start breaking into smaller groups and such it stops being the community I wanted to join up with.

I really think you guys are being harsh on him, and there are forums that do have locked areas for groups, so it is not something different or that extreme. Now I can tell that not everyone is with this idea but it is not something weird to ask. Hey if you don't like the plan than you don't like it, but it seemed really harsh how you treated what he asked. Let's grow up about things you don't like, be logicaly and let it go. If you like it than say you do if you don't than you don't. But it seemed to me that the idea was bullied and you guys seemed to not be respectable about the idea. It was a IDEA which this is a area to post IDEAS. This idea is not something unusually to do. I think a idea where a group of people who want to work together in a area that other people cannot see so they don't feel there ideas can be taken and the can talk freely about there ideas without fear of them being taken. He clearly did not say it was too have only selected people from the forum but for everyone but a aread that was secure from ideas being taken. So the idea for me is a good idea, but lets go ahead and close this thread since the idea is not liked by the forums and go on with ourselves. But seriously let's not look at a idea and be so harsh against the person and let them have there idea and if people wanted to go with it than so be or not than that is okay too. I think yeah confusedcartman had a right to post that it would not work on this forum but some of the other posts to me, felt like they were too harsh and not needed.

I agree, this is a decent idea, but it's understandable that LBPC doesn't want to create separate forums for separate design teams. Perhaps in the future if a up-and-running team wants forum space, or perhaps not. Anyways, I don't understand why people are bashing the mention of keeping things under wraps. You want to design levels and other creations in the dark, because if you're open about everything, the final experience will be muddled down as the players know what's coming from all the previews etc. That's why I'm not going to post all details about the levels I do reveal info beforehand, and that's why Media Molecule didn't answer all questions in the LBPC interview, and so forth.

I have a right just as Liquid does to state my opinion...and I did... if you considered anyone's post or just mine harsh... LOL no I was saying that cartman could respond on if the forums would add this as a seperate section which he did. But you are free to respond but it seemed to me that some of the posts where being harsh on the idea and somwhat making fun of the idea. I am not saying who I thought was doing this but that was uncalled for, fine if you don't like the idea say hey I don't like the idea and a reason but some of the posts seemed to me was making fun of the idea and how dare you post a idea like this on our forums. That is what I think was uncalled for. It was not just saying I don't like the idea but went to far into making fun of the idea and was very uncalled for. I thought the idea was a good idea and made sense. There are other forums that are locked to only certain people. So For you to make it seem like I was saying only certain people can post, that is not what I was going for and I am sorry it sounded like that. So post what you want, but I was just defending his idea and thought some of the posts were uncalled for and instead could have just been well I don't like the idea, and why. But to go far enough to be sarcastic about the idea, was totally uncalled for. Maybe I read into some of them wrong but I just wanted to post how I thought of the idea and what I saw. So forgive me if I hurt your feelings and maybe sounded wrong. I just think we should post on ideas logically and should not be so mean to a idea. It is find to not agree or even debate over something, that is what is great about forums but also to make fun of a idea can be a bad thing and push away great people from the forum. It was for the creator of the forum to say if he thought adding a locked area a thing that can be done or not. And instead it was other posts saying you can't add that on the forum. Instead say that you don't like the idea of a locked forum, and the reasons why you feel that way. But to totally shut down his idea and make fun of it was not needed.

I'm not breaking into any smaller group. I'll do what the community does. As for having my name known, that wasn't really the point. It was so people could browse the new levels that came out and say "oh! LBPC level! That last level LBPC released was awesome! I'm going to play this one!" Rather than an endless stream of levels with only text and such to seperate. Brand names baby.

To Liquid: You had a good idea, man. Feel free to make another thread to recruit members, lay down the law of your group, etc. Just don't ask LBPC to support you, because it's not going to happen. To everyone reading this: Feel free to make your own group. Feel free to hand-select the members of your group. Feel free to be secretive. You can even make a thread about your group, and it will remain open regardless of whether I agree with your policies or not. Just don't ask for your own forum, because as of now, it will not happen. The bottom line is, if we give a private forum to one person, we have to support everyone who wants one. Right now, it's just not feasible, especially with the limited site staff and the fact that LittleBigPlanet hasn't released yet. The behavior in this thread is appalling; I don't want to see it out of any of you, ever again. If anyone flames a group-based thread from now on, whether or not you agree with their policies, you will be dealt with. Just be the bigger person and ignore it. *locked*
