A message to YOU, Media Molecule!

So recently, I got the full version of Tearaway, and I gotta, say, I was pretty impressed with the work that was done to the game. But I would like to talk about a few things. Number 1, I want to thank you for taking all this time to make such an amazing game with so much detail to it. But that leads me right to Number 2. Will there be a sequel to Tearaway? I really want to see the action and adventure continue! And now for my list of things you should do if you do make a sequel.

1. The Length - The first game was pretty short, and the average person would probably be able to beat the game in about an hour like I did. A lot of gamers want a game that would take them weeks to finish. So if a sequel comes, please make it last for atleast 3 weeks.

2. The Ending - Now, I am not going to say what the ending is since I know a lot of people on LBPCentral have probably not played the game yet, so that will remain unspoiled. But I really think the ending could have been different, I understand it's heartfelt and such, but please don't make it like you did in the first game.

3. Less removed and changed features - If you compare the game from the trailer and the game now, you will notice that about 70% of the game features shown were either changed or removed. SogPort was completely changed. I can understand why the megaphone feature was removed... But why were all those places removed?

So that pretty much ends my list. But all in all, great job on the game and I hope to see a sequel!

I doubt gamers would be complaining about the length of the game if the development team were to have implemented a create mode like Little Big Planet. I was surprised they didn't but honestly looking at the LBP story, pretty short too. Making a game last 3 weeks and still being entertaining and enjoyable to play is a difficult task as you may see with most non-open-world games to-date happen to be short yet they are entertaining, the Lego games, Remember Me I just achieved platinum about half an hour ago only took me around 20 hours, The Last of Us is only 10 hours long without collectibles, Metro... etc. I can name many more.

Games that tend to last around a week to complete and not open world really start to drag on, Saw games, I would mention Aliens Colonial Marines but that's just all around bad and you know it if you have played it although the multiplayer is good if you can withstand lag no matter the situation, Resident Evil, any FPS story mode (Call of Duty, Battlefield, Medal of Honor, BioShock [Although it makes the rest look obsolete the game does make the player realize they were here 3 days ago because the developers copied and duplicate the same map 3 times just to make the game seem longer by forcing the player to go back because they forgot to turn on the switch that wasn't interactive 5 chapters ago]).

My point is, it's hard to make a good game last days yet remaining fun without open world elements but, making a long game lasting weeks that isn't open world will drag on.

Oh and asking on a forum to a developer if there will be a sequel I think probably not the smartest thing in the world, maybe a question like will there be DLC as that seems not to be too far fetched. I think Media Molecule are working with full concentration on their new IP for the PS4. Although I believe it was said a new IP I hope it is LBP3 and if not something to show Microsoft that Project Spark is nothing compared to what Sony have in development for us, their fans.

Scott.
