Even me?

And the title goes against what I want it to be. My OCD demands it!

Religious overtones? No, we're just poking fun at the fact you say "Happy Christmas" when it's always "Merry Christmas". For some reason. I don't really know why. That's all

My greatest fear is having to spend Christmas day in America. Seriously, I could not imagine not eating turkey at Christmas. Italian? What. There are so many different Christmas traditions all over the world but America doesn't seem to have anything. Eat whatever you want, and they don't have proper Christmas songs

To me the best part of a Holiday or any day for that matter is making up your own traditions. Our tradition is having different types of food to celebrate rather than always eating the same thing. Same with music! There is tons of music from all over the world. Step outside the box!

Happy/Merry Christmas is just another convenient way to tell them Brits from us Yanks. Like chips or fries, boot or trunk, torch or flashlight, telly or TV, holiday or vacation, etc...

Merry Christmas or happy other holiday to you all.

Incidentally, we usually have ham on Christmas, but in the past have had turkey as well.

What have you guys put on your Christmas-list? If you don't have one, by the way, you are not cool.

Myself, I was pretty excited about the Tomb Raider game, since it looks like an open world Uncharted (no idea how it actually is) and it has got good reviews... Everywhere, so I thought that maybe I could support the game in some way, as it apparently made loss for some reasons.

For DVD side I wished for Iron Man 3, Pacific Rim and Elysium. It really was a big year for sci-fi. I thought about the Hobbit DVD but maybe I'll just buy them all once the uncut trilogy edition comes out. Depends on how the latter movies are, of course.

I also asked for a cool coat, like some of those cool people wear, you know. The kind of tall ones that people just look at and go: "Woah!" I also am getting an awesome scarf, made by my grandfather (it has all the colours of the rainbow and more) and I also wished for another colour of bow-tie for my collection (I am currently rocking a blue one, a red one, a black one, a white one, a black one with white dots, a green one and an orange one, so I am hoping for a violet one or a golden one).

Also, movie tickets and chocolate! Going to watch movies today is too dang expensive on many occasions, so it's kind of sucky to go to a movie which can totally suck unexpectedly while paying for 20€ for the ticket and the popcorn.

That's all for me. How about you guise?

And also a premature "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!" from me! I hope you all will enjoy some happy and peaceful feast days!
Here in Bavaria we have traditionally Christmas goose or Christmas carp! But in my family we preferred Christmas turkey and this Christmas we will even have a Christmas roast pork with red Christmas cabbage and Christmas dumplings!

My Christmas list is rather short, because I will get a vita, but I would also like to get "Beyond Two Souls" and the extended DVD version of "The Hobbit" And maybe I will make a gift for me and my wife together! I'd like to watch the show "Momix Botanica" and maybe I will get some cards for it!^^

I have a girlfriend.

Anyway, I don't have a Christmas list because my folks give me enough already and I feel like a freeloader asking for stuff I don't particularly want. Does that make me not cool?

When it comes to me an Rubik's Cubes it usually goes something like: "It's beginning to look a lot like SCREW THIS!"

And yes, Rawk. Not having a Christmas list is very uncool.

And so is building a PC, Ryan.

We save it for Thanksgiving, freak. 'Murrica
Actually most of the U.S eats turkey for christmas(turkey is from North America, it wouldn't even be part of the winter holidays if it wasn't)..and ham..some regional places don't though.
*cough*the places with taste*cough*
/England influenced U.S has terrible food/
/parts of U.S influenced by France/Spain for best/only good american food/
/basically the only good food in the U.S is from the south/

The U.S does have christmas traditions, specific foods, songs and all that stuff...but christmas songs suck, traditions are stupid and personally..the food from the rest of the U.S is terrible
It's in neither of our national temperaments to care much for food, outside of its utility. Once Christmas was in the hands of the English it would inevitability become coarse, pious, sensual and alcoholic.

@Shooter

Once our Santa was a woman trying to speak in a male voice.

It was obviously fake and pretty pathetic so I felt very sad for her and gave her a kiss on the cheek, thinking it'd cheer her up.

I remember as a small kid about 2 or so, I was scared to death of Santa and hated sitting on his lap. Couldn't handle standing in line for him or anything. However one time while shopping with my Mom there was one at the store not far away. He saw me and kept leaning out to get a glimpse of me, but I would hide around the clothes racks. He was persistent, smiling and kept waving me over. He had a candy cane in his hand and would lean out from his chair catching me taking a peek at him. I kept hiding, but his kind smile got the best of me. My Mom kept asking me if I wanted to go get it or not and I finally did. He was such a kind man and thankful the police caught him so soon after he kidnapped me.

...ok, that last part was a fib. lol

Seriously though, he was really kind sweet old man. He handed me the candy cane and asked if I wanted to sit on his lap. I was still scared and clinging to my Mom, but he said I could just tell him what I wanted and not get up there. I did and he gave me a hug, then wished me a Merry Christmas. I thought it was so nice that he was so kind to me even though I was so scared.

I know.. it is kind of silly, but remembering that just makes me smile.

Merry Christmas!

1) Getting a Lego pirate ship
2) Getting a Mega Drive (aka Sega Genesis). I had a Game Gear at the time. My mum tells me to open the big present first. But everyone knows you save the biggest until last, so I rightfully ignored her advice. So I decide to open one of the smaller ones. It's a Mega Drive game. "I DON'T EVEN HAVE A MEGA DRIVE" I say (in a confused tone, not an angry tone). Then the penny drops!

Well, as I hinted before. Back in 2002 when I was 9, I wanted to see if I got what I wanted. So my brother went outside to walk our dog, and I locked them out in the snow. I then pillaged his closet and ripped open the packaging to see if I got it. I saw the genie on the PS2 case, so yes, I got Kingdom Hearts.

Also, my brother slipped and fell on the ice.

So, how was everyone's christmas?

Mine was fine. Got some money but ended up buying Lego Marvel Super Heroes and Assassin's Creed Ezio Trilogy. Also bought Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

Otherwise, I ended up getting my girlfriend a tiara. NOW SHE IS READY TO BE MY QUEEN OF DARKNESS.

I got Pacific Rim, Elysium and Iron Man 3 DVDs, I was surprised with Doctor Who Revisitation 1 DVD-collection (with the Movie, Talons of Weng-Chiang and Caves of Androzani), I got Tomb Raider video game and Last of Us (which I haven't finished because it is not exactly a catchy game in my opinion), I got a badbottom new scarf and coat, chocolate and movie-tickets.

Normally I detest having a large family, but it does have its advantages.

All of my gifts were gift cards. I spent it all on Friday. So technically they got me a Zelda & Doctor Who shirt, Mario Party Island Tour, & some Starbucks coffee. I did enjoy spending time with my grandma. Haven't seen in her in ages. Overall a pretty good Christmas.2013-12-29 19:44:00

Oh, reviewing Christmas? Yes please!

My Christmas (eve) began with a bang and I was thrown in the middle of the action immediately. The morning mostly concentrated of the family being busy, unintentional humour and sarcasm, all of which I am a fan of. The first act reminded me mostly of all other Christmases to date: most side characters would be included later, but at least the dialogue exchange was better than ever.

The second act is where things went bad. Mostly everything dragged along, the humour got dry and I even found myself checking my clock several times. So, needless to say, the pacing was very bad, only made worse by the knowledge of what's to come. The side characters were poorly acted and it looked like the entire thing wasn't following the script. Subplots got started and later immediately dropped without getting anywhere and mostly nothing held any relevance towards the end.

The beginning of the third act was also slow, but tension started building up right before the climax, which was as awesome as ever, so needless to say there was a little bit of pay-off. Then again, was it worth of waiting several hours with boring/annoying side characters, poor dialogue and convenient plot? I don't think so.

It was pretty mediocre, but in terms of these Christmas specials, it was decent.

5/10

A merry belated Christmas to you all, hope you had a good time. My gift this year is finally having having an internet connection back Even if it is running at dial-up speeds right now

I had a pretty quiet one this year, my family is spread out all over Australia now, so it was just me my brother and his girlfriend. We fired up the barbie, cooking up delicious food all day and drinking some delicious beverages, it was sooo relaxing . We don't really give gifts anymore, we still give each other something but it's never expensive or extravagant. I made a wooden cutting board out of a single piece of timber with a polished and engraved aluminium plaque from construction left overs I figured I'd buy their present with time rather than money.

EDIT: Oh wow, I still have my halloween avatar, it has been a while.
