Army guy playing LBP

Archive: 22 posts

Hello Everybody,

My name is kelly, my first experience with LBP was on the PS3. While deployed to Afghanistan back in 2010 I went to my camps morale building where they had a PS3 and this game called LBP. I knew of the game but never played it, saw some commercials back in the day. So I tell the guy behind the desk can I check out LBP (PS3). I was very interested in this simplistic looking game and amazed of its graphics and and the style of play.

Fast forward to 2013 still got my PSP and my Vita. I saw that amazon was selling the Vita version for dirt cheap so I picked up that one along with the PSP version all for under $24. I will be getting both of the games before this week ends so I'm pretty excited to play both of them. I am sad to say that last night I downloaded the PSP version to check it out and was very impressed with the game, so I'm so glad I bought the game and giving Sony & the developers their due on making the franchise.

One quick question for you guys. What are the first things I need to download/buy for the PSP version so I can experience the game to its fullest?

Thx in advance guys

Welcome! Glad ya made it!

First let me thank you so much for your service. You all make us very proud! ...and to think you are also an LBP fan just gives me a warm fuzzy heart. AWESOME! There is just so much you can do with it! ..and if you ever have any questions, we are here to help!

Each version has its own Help forum and it might be handy to make a thread in the PSP help forum and ask that there since we mostly welcome folks here. ..the ones more involved with PSP would be looking over there.

Have fun!

HOOOOOAH!! Howdy Kelly! Welcome to LBPC! I'm an Army Vet myself and have been addicted to this franchise since the beginning. I have the PSP version but never downloaded any DLC for it so can't really recommend anything in that department. I had thought about getting that Turbo Level Kit but never did and now my PSP has decided that it doesn't want to play LBP anymore. But, Here's a list of PSP DLC (http://wiki.lbpcentral.com/Downloadable_content/LittleBigPlanet_PSP) for your perusal. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask. Dang, where's my mind? Here is my normal "welcoming spiel."

Welcome to LBPC. So glad you joined. This is pretty cool place to be. It's an awesome place to make new friends, learn techniques and tricks and just to have a good time. To help you explore the site I'll provide a few links for you.

The Level Showcase (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Level-Showcase) area is the place you want to go to make a thread about your level. We have an optional F4F (feedback for feedback) system where you tell others to check out your level, come back and give feedback/suggestions and you'll do the same for them. It's a valuable system that is underused here. Be sure to use the LBP.me tool (the white bell in a blue box icon) http://www.lbpcentral.com/images/lbpme.png this will pull your level info from LBP.me and place it in the thread for you. NOT WORKING RIGHT NOW
Before posting your awesome creation in the level showcase, please read this handy dandy guide. It will help your get more attention to your thread and your level. Hey Kelly, it's a pleasure to meet you! I don't recall having to many army vets around LBP, but I'm quite happy to welcome one! You'll find the Vita version of LBP to be probably the best of the two although it wouldn't hurt to start out with the original PSP version to learn the basics of all LBP! Anyways, I'm not too much of an expert on the PSP, but we have several members here who can help you there! I hope that you'll enjoy your time here and Welcome to the Central!!! 2013-12-05 21:17:00

Thank you all for the nice comments and info on where to look.
So happy the Vita version came in the mail yesterday and I love it. I'm still waiting on the PSP version to come in the mail as well.

Welcome to the forums. My name is The715Gamer, I am pleased to see someone who has served in Afghanistan playing such an awesome game. I don't have a vita but I used to have the PSP. Trust me, with the PSP version you're not really missing out on much. The game was fun but there were too many glitches to suit my creative style. Though the vita looks really cool and I wish I had a vita to enjoy it. Enjoy the site and the games - Gamer2013-12-11 03:51:00

Hi painted-sound,

hello and welcome here, nice to meet you! Could be that zionfarm cannot see your reply, because his last activity here has been in October 2013. Fine that you are actively participating in our community! Did you already open your own introduction thread? I would be curious to know a sound thats painted

Many greetings, Jürgen^^

Hahaha, I suggest to continue our conversation via Visitor Message. Everyone is unique, how could it be then that someone unique should be boring???2014-07-18 19:57:00

Oh noes! Mean people are kind of extinct in LBPC That could be related to the fact we send an army of squirrels every time a mean person dares to enter the forum of course

Now, trust me, you should make your own introduction! It's awesome to have new members! If you're a creator don't hesitate in making some threads for your creations in the Level Gallery as well

@Painted- You really should make your own intro so members can welcome you properly.
Since this is someone else's intro and this account hasn't been active since Dec. 2013 I'm locking.
