The main problem with custom soundtracks though, after copyright, is that the levels would take an age to load. Even as it is now, with my naff internet connection, levels can take almost a minute to download sometimes.

Even as it is now, with my naff internet connection, levels can take almost a minute to download sometimes. Actually, I'm pretty sure that this is a BIGGER problem then copyright. If they had to download every single note of a song, instead of a simple line of code like this maybe: Song.Song2 = ON That would be simpler. Having to have to download the entire song, and multiple ones probably, would DESTROY the thermometer.

But yea I like the way you did yours.. pretty creative.. way to get your songs attached to to game without having to bother with all the bullcrap... unfortunataly I have only one source of internets in my room, soo basically I had to load your level, pause, unhook cable from ps3 and hook to computer, then play the songs... was still awesome though. would have rated and hearted and all that if I were online at the time... grrr I need a splitter.

I don't mind not having songs that we want. I just think that every song on the game should be editable, then a lot of people would have more unique songs.

I acctually agree with this, but I think the problem is that most artists wouldnt want the average player to have the ability to Re-Mix their song... the ones that are written for LBP are all editable, the ones that arn't, arn't...

i would agree with this idea but some people would be able to put up songs that are highly inappropriate. We still have children playing these levels as well as adults. but i guess its also their fault for signing up saying theyre over 18 years old to use psn
