Producing a shield

Hello maestros,

I'm attempting to create a defensive shield that pops out when you press O, similar to ModNations. I would love for it to work almost exactly like that, which could take quite a bit of logic'ing, but first I need to be able to spawn a shield that follows you. I've gotten it down to spawn something on the kart at the press of O, but it's just a static object that essentially traps you until it goes away. Any clue on how to make the spawned object move with the kart once spawned? Including during turns and boosts, etc. Also, any clue on how to make it spawn level, regardless of the tilt of the kart? I didn't want to create a custom kart for the map if I don't have to (not out of laziness, just not the aesthetic I was going for).

I've got an emitter on the spawn point and it properly emits from you when you press it, it's just static so you run into it like a wall2013-11-13 22:30:00
