My LBP dilemma......lbp 2 or maybe 3 :)

Archive: 7 posts

I love littlebigplanet! I think I get on just about every day! The thing is our playstation 3 is in the center of our house, so I can only get on in 30 minute spans before one of my siblings wants to get on and play. Overall, I never have time to create anything or finish a level and be able to just focus on it. I hope I'm wording it right..... Haha it just feels like I can't just focus on my level. So I got an idea.......

I have saved up money to buy my own console for my own room.....(about 350 or so) but then I ran into another dilemma! :/

Apparently there's a chance lbp 3 will come on the ps4 with all those sumo digital developing rumors.....so I'm wondering if I should buy a ps3 and get rolling with sackboy in lbp 2 or hold out for a ps4 and pray for a lbp 3? Haha I love the game and I want to be more involved in the game and more active! Any suggestions or ideas would be fantastic! I appreciate all your time sack folk

Hmmm. Well, I think an LBP3 on the PS4 is totally inevitable. We don't need to hear that confirmed to know it's going to happen. LBP is now one of Sonys major flagship franchises.
Of course, it could well not be until a few years after the PS4s launch that LBP3 comes out, so you may have quite a wait.

If I was in your scenario, I'd just go with a PS4 and amuse yourself with other games for a while until LBP3 is released.
If saving up money is difficult, perhaps wait for a price cut. (I am.)
Alternatively, perhaps buying some second hand PS3 is an option, too. I dunno if I'd pay full price for a PS3 right now if I was thinking of buying the next gen system shortly afterwards.

Given that the ps3 is nearing the end of its cycle, and it uses a similar psn as the ps3, I would imagine LBP Hub will be available on ps4 as well since its download only.2013-11-04 23:33:00

I recommend doing what Ostler said, "second hand PS3" for the time being or a nifty Vita to continue playing LBP on the go and then to get Tearaway, but if you do decide to get a PS4, which I will be doing, I recommend that you truly consider if it is worth the entire expense at this time! Besides, 30 minutes is plenty of time if you have some plan of attack going into the game and ry making up some time/day system for everyone in your family, it could help! 2013-11-05 03:13:00

LBP Hub will almost definitely run on the PS4 if Sony aren't complete idiots(And, from the looks of things right now, they're pretty smart), so wait. I advise waiting until a price drop or a deal, or something, but the answer to the PS3 or 4 question is PS4 definitely.
Also, I doubt that there will be an LBP3, I think LBP Hub will be the LBP game and that it'll just continue being updated and getting DLC Packs(Perhaps full-game sized DLC packs? Or perhaps episodic DLC).

Thanks for all the info guys I really appreciate it! I got a secondhand ps3 for the time being. However, once I get that LBP PS4 confirmation, I will be sure to upgrade to the ps4 2014-01-20 17:37:00
