Do I lose any data if I use a new PSN account?
Archive: 6 posts
Hi all, I can't log into my PSN account because I lost my password... And my DOB. But it could've been hacked because save password has been on ever since we had to change our passwords (when PSN got hacked) and that was the password I've been using to log in! Anyways I'm here to ask if I would lose any data, published levels, moon & earth decorations, purchased packs etc, if I made a new PSN account on the system account I've been using to play LBP. Thanks | 2013-11-02 10:38:00 Author: Ryanz19 Posts: 50 |
You can't use the recover password option? ...and how do you not know your DoB? Lesson for those fudging their age... at least make a note of what you use!!! Is the email address you used real? I think recover password is your best bet. Anyway... more info needed.. Is it that you cannot log in to PSN via the web? ...I am assuming you still can log in via your PS3 and play LBP etc right? However to answer your questions. I believe if you make a new account, you have a new player with nothing. Your current account would keep all the levels and such, but you wouldn't have access to them unless you could log on to your old account via your ps3. If you could still be on the old one, you could at least send stuff to your new account, but they would be uneditable. However you could probably publish locked, copyable and send your new account the key to download. That way you could capture bits to edit, or have the full level again on the new account. If you can still get into LBP with both, you might be able to just do a backup of levels and pull then into the new account. I haven't tried that in quite awhile, but maybe someone else has more info. As far as DLC. Since you are on the same PS3, you should still have the DLC, but you would not be able to download again if you move to a new one, or a PS4 for that matter since you don't have the password. I would try the lost password or contacting Sony if that doesn't work. It would make things much simpler. | 2013-11-02 12:10:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |

The OP probably used a fake DOB to bypass having to use a sub account.(You need to be 18+ to use a main account.) OT: As JWW said, you can re-download your purchased DLC. Aswell, just back-up your LBP2 file and transfer it over to your new PSN. Unfortunately, you wont be able to collect trophies anymore. | 2013-11-02 14:05:00 Author: zzmorg82 Posts: 948 |

Thanks for the reply. I only used a false PSN DOB because I thought I was too young back in 2008 when I got my PS3. I'll try contacting sony. | 2013-11-02 14:10:00 Author: Ryanz19 Posts: 50 |

I put a different DOB in too so it wouldn't restrict any content until I was 17. My friend got his password changed by calling sony. You just have to know your basic information like street address, town, state, (If your from US) | 2013-11-03 04:37:00 Author: MusicMan234 Posts: 82 |
