It's been a long time but we're back with our biggest and most in-depth interview yet. And what better night to come back than Halloween? The night the Ghosts come out to play... In this episode we will feature a creator who in all serious doesn't really need any introduction, an active member of our community, he has a crown and multiple MM Picks to his name, He is part of the contest and spotlight crews, and he runs his own LBP fansite.

Wow, i'm getting tired just typing all of this!

Above all though, This guy has a real eye for creating and is a personal favorite of mine. So without any further ado lets get into this. ladies and gentleman, put down your chocolate, The Ghost Creators are proud to introduce...

Introducing Jauw

Creator Name: Jonatham
Creator Age: 16
Region: Denmark
PSN: jauw2 (http://lbp.me/u/jauw2)
Twitter: Jauw2 (https://twitter.com/Jauw2)

Published Levels:
-LBP1 - 6 (Deleted)
-LBP2 - 20
-LBPV (None. Yet...)
-LBPK - 0

To start off with can you tell me about your first LBP Memory?

Hm... Well my first LBP Memory was about 4? years ago. LittleBigPlanet have just been released, and my brother and I played a ?roller-blade? level. It was basically a race with a lot of rollerblade wheels. It was very fun! Though, in the start I didn?t liked the game so much. I thought it was weird.

What was it that first hooked you about LBP?

Well I borrowed the game for a little while, and let?s just say that when I returned it - There was no disc and no manual

When I had played some story levels and such, I saw there was a Create Mode option. I went to My Moon and selected a crate. I slowly learned how to create simple lines of materials and placing objects... And from there - I was completely hooked! It's probably the only game where I can express myself, without talking!

Tell us about the first level you ever made?

The first level was of course way back in LBP1. It was a platformer featuring the Gardens theme. I filled the thermo to the max and I was left with 1-2 minutes gameplay. I placed objects all over the level and used every sticker I had.

How have you improved as a creator since then?

I've improved a lot, not only in LBP, but because I was very young at the time I was becoming a teenager and things have gotten more serious and I learned a lot about level design and art.

And here I am with achievements that I didn?t even think of!

What would you say was your best moment in LBP?

My best moment was probably the good old times. More specifically - Just when LBP2 was released. I had pre-ordered LBP2. It was wednesday 19th of January, and the feeling of knowing that LBP2 was in your mailbox was amazing! I ripped off the wrapping paper and started playing the day out. I loved Avalon?s first level. It was fantastic to play through the story mode and everything was just so perfect. No problems at all!

If you Could change one thing about LBP what would it be?

I change the way the community behavior. Sometimes it just makes me sad that so many people work so hard on their levels and don't get recognized. Hopefully GC or anyone else will make a try.

Your strengths and weaknesses as a creator?

Strengths: I?m good as an Artist and gameplay ideas. Even though I haven?t published many gameplay focused level, there are tons of them on my moon

Weaknesses: I?m not very good at finishing projects

If you could improve one aspect of your creating what would it be?

It would be to make my levels enjoyable and artistic detailed without the Thermometer exploding .

Can you tell us about your influences and some of your inspirations?

Inspiration is what drives me. It's all over craftworld, in the community, reallife. But one thing that inspires me the most, is seeing the world in another view. Just walk down the street and watch everything sparkle. The sun and clouds and anything beyond. That and a whole lot of playing

What does the Ghost Creators mean to you?

I was very honored to be asked by Sabre and as soon as I posted in the intruduction thread, everyone said kindly: ?Hello and welcome :-)?

I really like the solidarity, and you can feel it right away. We will always support each other!

Okay, now it's time to get into the meat of it. Can you tell us about some of your levels?

Spinning Cogs Mini-Series (Sound wrong, right?)

The Spinning Cogs Mini-Series, is a series of 3 levels, and it's focused on visuals and some gameplay in Part 2. The 3rd part is on pause, but you?ll probably see it in the future. The idea of this level, was just to make a visual based platformer with some fast paced contraption here and there. It developed into part 2 and soon part 3.

I've received some ?okay? feedback, but it was alright - Since it's actually one of my first levels in LBP2.

Der_GamER_1994 Said: ?Spinning Cogs is a simple and pretty well made platformer with some basic gameplay elements. The beginning takes a replay or two to get past, but once you're done with that, it's a good experience... keep it up.?

MEDIAZz Said: ?Fun, some bugs, but nothing to get mad over. Enjoyable gameplay all through. Beautiful looking too. Great job.?

Spinning Cogs - Part 1 was MM Picked by StevenI two weeks later.

Vintage Attic - Level Series
The Vintage Attic is a level series that I started making almost 1 year ago. It comes with a little story:

Part 1
Mr. Charles is looking for you. He's one of the many wooden toys on the Attic. He wants your help! He's looking for the inventor of all the contraptions on the Vintage Attic. His name is Mr. Ingenious! He's the smartest toy on the Attic, help Mr. Ingenious, with some serious trouble!

Part 2
Mr. Ingenious has asked you to help saving the Vintage Attic for all the terrible gas, the owner of The Attic is upset!

Part 3
Travel through the dark cellar in The Wheelinator, and solve the puzzle to unlock the gate to the Gas Chamber

Part 4
Sackie have made it to the Gas Chamber and are now searching for the remote. Get the remote and stop the Gas Emitting in the Vintage Attic! *Rest of story: Classified!*

The theme of this series is a theme that I've always loved. The warm from the lights and the old bicycle spare parts. Some spiderweb here and there. Love it! I actually got the idea from my uncle?s attic

The Series have received mostly positive reviews:

JuleyJules Said: ?Great pacing with this. Nice and snappy.?

Smurfetta5683 Said: ?I enjoyed this one a lot! Very different from the others and the atmosphere is so cool. I would say cut down on the cutscenes, even though they were cool, there was so many. Can't wait to see more ?

Alley_Cat_8633 Said: ?Pretty cool, buddy. A little too easy I think but it was still fun. I liked the ideas and look forward to playing the finale.?

Midnight In Paris

Midnight In Paris, is one my latest levels. It's a challenging platfomer on the rooftops of Paris. It was an idea I had from Tobsn_08?s level: Paris Is For Lovers. My inspiration was huge, and I payed for that. I made the level in just about 30 hours, I had some testers play it, and then I published it.

The level have received mixed reviews, due to some visuals. StevenI liked it, and the level was MM Picked about a week after I published.

Alley_Cat_8633 said: ?Hmmm, I'm not trying to be mean but I'm getting kinda tired of rip-offs. You should have made a Paris level that didn't TRY to look like "Paris is for Lovers". Gameplay was original, but the visuals are stolen.?

Geet-R Said: ?Great atmosphere and style, a very scenic level. However, I found myself dying repeatedly on the same obstacles, they're a bit on the tricky side. Or maybe I just suck. It was kind of hard to see as well. But hey, it's Midnight in Paris, what should I be whining for? There were also a few problems with the pipes, but I could proceed with some effort. Nice job!?

We all have our favourite creators. Can you list a few that stand out for you

L1GhTmArE: Due to his awesome creations throughout LittleBigPlanet, he has VERY unique style and he have made some incredible levels, with brilliant gameplay and visuals.

Comphermc: I've admired Comphermc and his creations for many years, and he must be one of my favorite creators. His brilliant level design and his unique way of executing ideas is something only he can provide. He?s also a logic legend in LBP, I enjoy watching his tutorials and playing his levels.

[LBPC6]A Demon's Parlay: (Lv2) (http://lbp.me/v/9gctms)
A brilliant level by: L1GhTmArE (http://lbp.me/u/L1GhTmArE), Alley_Cat_8633 (http://lbp.me/u/Alley_Cat_8633), smasher1116789 (http://lbp.me/u/smasher1116789), Velvet--Audio (http://lbp.me/u/Velvet--Audio). Trust me: The escape (http://lbp.me/v/d-tqh0)
Very awesome level by: Art-In-Heart (http://lbp.me/u/Art-in-Heart) This is a co-op level. You and your friend(s) help each other to escape from the threat of the exterminator. In the start of the level, you can choose which kind of insect you want to play as. Throughout the level you will presented with amazing level sections. Everything is bigger and? Uhh? It's just brilliant!

Do you own a copy of LBPV?. If so, how does creating differ from LBP2 and LBPV?

Yes i do! It's freaking awesome! I really like LBPV though I can?t get used to the controls on the Vita. It's very unfortunate, because I really like the create-mode and all the new features, materials and whatnot.

Out of all the new tools that LBPV has to offer, what is it that most excites you?

The touch controls must be my favorite tool. It's so universal and even though the touch isn?t perfect it still performs really well at some points.

Any future plans and projects you would like to share with us?

I have some projects in my mind. My most current project is a level called: Cliffs of Aquila. It's a platformer with (hopefully) unique gameplay and some very nice side-objectives. It's in a beta state at the moment, but prepare your burlap, it's going to be awesome!

Do you have LBPK?

Yes and I really like playing it. Though the create-mode doesn?t really appeal to me. I like the 3-D aspect when I?m playing levels, but it just gets waaay to complicated in create-mode. Too bad though, I know a lot of creators who make awesome levels, because they got hooked. I wish I could say the same thing. If I really pulled myself together, I would probably be able to finish a level, but it's very overwhelming and I don't have fun.

You've recently set up LittleBigReports, What gave you the idea for that?

I wanted to start something new after Weekly Planetarium died. It was such an amazing experience to work along with so passionate people. I started LittleBigReports because I really liked blogging, I've been doing it for fun, but I?m working on getting a more robust schedule.

What can we expect to see from LittleBigReports going forward?

When I?m blogging every second day, and people start visiting more often and leaving comments, that?s when I see a bright future. You guys should check it out: http://www.littlebigreports.com/

And finally, Give us 3 tags which describe you as a creator?

Detailed, Passionate, Varied.[/QUOTE]

I'd just like to thank Jauw for taking the time to sit down and do this interview
